Allianz National League Rd 3 – Louth v Leitrim

Louth opened their account at the third time of asking with a comfortable nine-point win over Leitrim in Dundalk yesterday.

A couple of first-half goals set the home side on their way and, despite a few promising spells from Dessie Dolans men, the outcome was never really in doubt. The Wee menÓgot a perfect start when Ciaran Kennedy bundled the ball to his own net.

A touch of class from Ray FinnÓgan yielded a second goal after 24 minutes.

Leitrim rallied and kicked five points without reply, but that was as good as it got for the visitors.
