Leitrim Hurling news week beginning January 9th 2012
Táin League Fixtures
The fixtures for the up coming Tain League were released on friday. With Ballinamore Hurling club, Carrick Hurling Club and Cluainin Iomaint entering the league there are some very interesting games to look forward to. Ballinamore are placed into division 5A along with St. Feckins of Louth, Carrickmacross of Monaghan, Knock Grattans of Fermanagh and Sligos Coolera/Strandhill. Cluainin (Glencar Manorhamilton) and Carrick will contest against each other in Division 4A along with St. Eunans (Donegal), Four Masters (Donegal), Wolf Tones (Longford) and Cappagh Gaels (Tyrone).
These games will be of great benefit for hurling in Leitrim. Not only do they improve each club but it will also highlight that hurling is thriving in the so called non hurling counties. Keep an eye on the Observer for the results as the competition unfolds.
