Connacht Táin league
Last week was a very busy week for the Leitrim representitives in the Connacht Táin league.  In division 2A Carrick and Cluainin Iomaint were drawn to play in Kiltubrid last Wednesday in a play off.  Carrick were vicorious winning on a score line of 0.17 to 0.07.  This win meant they had to play Belmullet on Saturday.  Carrick again had an impressive win over Belmullet on a Scórline of 5.07 to 3.06.  Carrick now have to play Castlebar Mitchels at the Connacht GAA 3G pitch Tuesday 16th at 8.30pm.  This will be Carricks fourth game in 12 days.  With quite a young team they will be hoping youth will be on their side as they take on the Mayo club and make history in the first year of the Connacht Táin hurling league.
 
Sligo hurling league –
Cluainin Iomaint under 16s recorded their second win last Wednesday evening when they beat Coolera/Strandhill on a scoreline of  4.10 to 6.08. Andrew Loughlin was man of the match for Cluainin as he comanded the defence.  In the forwards Damon Beattie continued his Scóring form by Scóring 2.03 while Martin Feeney scored 2.04. Feeney showed some lovely touches and scored some fine points. Ferghal Rooney first game back for the club also impressed and scored a great point on the run.  Michael Loughlin and Joe McGriskin netted the all important goals towards the end of the game to seal victory for the Manorhamilton men.  They play Naomh Eoin this wednesday at 7pm.
 
 
Lory Meagher cup –
The Leitrim senior hurlers will take encouragement from Longford winning the Allianz division 3B final over Sligo last Sunday.  Leitrim drew with Longford earlier this year in the National league and will also play Longford May 11th..  The senior hurlers begin their championship with a home game with Fermanagh on May 4th.
