John Heaney R.I.P.

Fenagh St Caillins GAA Club President John Heaney of Ardagh, Fenagh was laid to rest on Sunday last. The Clubs executive and all its members express our sympathies to his son Sean and daughter Kitty, his daughter-in-law Mary, grandsons Gavin, Richard & David, niece, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.
Results/Fixtures
Fenagh St Caillins are the 2017 John McCartin Newtowngore Engineering U17 (15 a side) Leitrim League Champions. They overcame a gallant St Mary’s Kiltohert in an exciting game on a scoreline of 1.09 to 1.07. Big congratulations to this fine group of young men and their mentors Tommy Smith, Ray Greenan and Gerry Kilkenny. Match report elsewhere in this paper. Our senior team recorded their first victory in this year’s Div 1 campaign with a great performance on Sunday defeating Gortletteragh on a scoreline of 2.14 to 3.07. Fenagh National School boys team have blazed a trail through their group in the 13 a side competition with wins over Gortletteragh NS, Drumkeeran NS, Ballinamore NS and Carrigallen NS and now progress to the final. The u13 team host Kiltubrid on Friday evening 19th May in the Shield Final, throw in at 7pm. On Sat evening next Fenagh and Gortletteragh seniors are set to do battle again in this year’s Shield semi-final. On Sunday Melvin Gaels make the trip to Pairc Sean O’Laodain for a Div 3 top two clash with our junior team. Well done and best of luck to all our teams.

Fenagh St Caillins GAA Club expresses our sympathies to the Duignan family Annaduff and the O’Rourke family Fenagh on the recent sad passing of Joanna Duignan. May she rest in peace. We also express our sympathies to the St Mary’s Kiltohert club and the Flynn family on the passing of former Leitrim Co Board Chairman Joe Flynn. May he rest in peace.
Cúl Camp 2017
Fenagh Cúl Camp 2017 is from 24-28 July. If your child is hoping to go to cúl camp this year, you need to register in advance. There will be NO REGISTRATION ON THE DAY. Registrations can be made on kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. All registrations need to be completed by Fri May 26th. REGISTER IN ADVANCE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.
