Kiltubrid GAA Club Notes 30/10/2017

Kiltubrid ExPat Guest of Honour – Congrats to former Kiltubrid footballer Joe McGirl who was recently honoured as the “Guest of Honor” at the Rocklands GAA Pavilion Dance on Sat 14th October in New York.  Joe’s outstanding service to the Rocklands Club is a mark of the man who has taken his GAA roots to his adopted City by immersing himself in the ongoing development at Rocklands GAA on and off the field of play.  Well done Joe.
U21 Championship – Game against St Francis at 12 noon on Sunday at home.
Club meeting – Important club meeting Friday next at the pitch.
Race Night – Kiltubrid GAA & Kiltubrid Ladies LGFA are running a Night at the Races on Sat 25th November in Gerties Bar, Keshcarrigan.  All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Maintenance and Development of Pairc Cill Tiobraid.  Horses, Trainers and Jockeys are now on sale at €20, €10 and €10 respectively with prizes for the winners of the races.  If you or your business are interested in Sponsoring one of the Ten races please contact Eoin 0863153438 or Louise 0879105328.  Please keep an eye on these notes via the Leitrim Observer, Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates in the lead up the Race Night.

Gaeltacht Scholarships – Leitrim Co Board GAA is offering grants for attendance at Gaeltacht courses to Leitrim boys and girls as part of their promotion of an Ghaeilge. These grants are open to registered members of Leitrim GAA clubs, boys or girls.  Some of the grants are part-sponsored by Gaeltacht colleges. In the case of cash grants, when students return they can claim their grant money on production of evidence of having successfully completed the course.  Application forms can be printed from the Leitrim GAA website www.leitrimgaa.ie by searching Gaeltacht Scholarships 2018 or can be had had from the Secretary of any GAA club.
