Aughnasheelin GAA Club Notes 23/01/2018

Club Lotto  –  After all the years our Lotto Jackpot was won on Sunday night last with the lucky 4 Nos – 5, 7, 17 and 19 – it was shared with Mary McWeeney/Christina Maxwell and Michael Flanagan having the lucky combination – Comhghairdeas to you and enjoy your win.  House Draw winner of €25 Shirley Sammon – Sponsored Damien Flynn – Annual Ticket Draw Daniel, Caitlín and Rose Murray.

Club Meeting – Friday January 26th at 9pm in Club Rooms.

Comhbhrón  –  Another sad week in Achadh ná Síleann with the passing of Carmel McManus nee Keegan Mullinasella – Carmel was a great Supporter of our Club and has left us far too soon – we offer our deepest sympathy to her husband Joe, her sons Neil, Richard, Fergal, Paddy and Conall, her sisters Josephine, Marie, Collette, Pauline and Veronica and extended family.  Also deepest sympathy to Attracta Ní Raghallaigh Runai Coiste Chontae Liatroma on the death of her mother Kathleen.

Comhghairdeas – to Ossie Costello and Orla O’Neill who were married on Saturday last in Achadh ná Síleann – a great day was had by all – wishing Ossie, Orla and the lovely Nicole health and happiness for the years ahead.
Sending best wishes to Jimmy Holohan on his Retirement as Leitrim Games Promotion Officer recently – Jimmy spent many years travelling the highways and byways of our County promoting the GAA – good wishes for a Happy Retirement.

County Board Awards Night – Takes place on Saturday February 3rd so hoping to see a good crowd from Club there to support our well deserved Award Winners – Ciaran Cullen U 17 County Footballer – a great honour for Conor and his family and our Club – last year this was U 16 Award which also came to our Club with Aaron Hoare being the recipient  –  Intermediate Player Barry McWeeney also a great honor for Barry and family – Senior Referee Brendan Sammon a great honour for Brendan and family – well done to all.

Our Club Dinner Dance and Awards night – This is taking place on Saturday, February 17th in the Landmark – hoping to see a big turnout for this celebration night.
