St Mary’s Kiltoghert GAA Club Notes 23/01/2018

UNDERAGE PRESENTATION – Our Underage presentation night will take place in St. Mary’s Hall on Saturday 3rd February at 6pm. All medals and awards including the George O’Toole awards will be presented on the night by Dublin legend Alan Brogan. Promises to be a great evening. Everyone welcome.

COISTE CHONTE LITROMA AWARDS – Coiste Chontae Liatroma Awards 2017 takes place in the Bush Hotel on Sat 3rd February 2018. The following from our Club will receive awards under the following categories:

Jim Lynch Hall of Fame:  Tom Guckian

County Player of the Year:  Michael McWeeney

U16 Player of the Year:  Paul Keaney

County Hurler of the Year:  James Glancy

SCÓR NA NÓG ALL IRELAND FINAL – The Scór na nÓg All Ireland Final will be held in the Knocknarea Arena on Saturday 17th February.

As the venue is smaller than usual, it is a TICKET ONLY event. It will NOT be possible to pay on the door on the day.

The Club will need to be ordering all tickets this week as they will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Adults €20 each, Family Ticket €60 (2 Adults + 2 U16s @ €10 each)

U7 ACADEMY – Indoor Gaelic football for all U7 boys and girls got off to a great start last Saturday morning with a great number of children attending. It will continue next Saturday and each Saturday at 11am for an hour in The Sports Complex, Carrick on Shannon. Please come along & spread the word among friends. New members very welcome.

SENIOR SCÓR – Senior Scór is taking place at the end of February. If anyone would like to get involved, send Laura a message on 087 9664406

SYMPATHY – St. Mary’s GAA wishes to express its deepest sympathy to the family of the late Kathleen McDermott, Drumlion, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon who passed away on Wednesday last. Kathleen is the mother of our former Club Secretary and current Rúnaí Choiste Chontae Liatroma CLG, Attracta O’Reilly.

Our deepest sympathy to Attracta and all the O’Reilly and McDermott families.

Our sincere sympathy also to the Flanagan family on the very sad passing of Marie, Breffni Cresent. May she rest in peace.

BABY JOY – There was great excitement in the Crowe households during the week with the arrival of two beautiful baby girls. Congratulations to Barry & Lisa on the birth of baby Sophie, a baby sister for Oisín and to David & Aoife on the birth of their first baby Ella.
