A good night was enjoyed at our Celebration Dinner Dance on Saturday night in the Landmark – Comhghairdeas to our Intermediate Team who received their Championship Medals.  They were presented with their medals by our oldest President Pakie Mulvey.  Comhghairdeas to James McCaffrey who was presented with a special award for his involvement in the Club and as a Referee over many years and he’s not hanging up the whistle yet, also Martin McHugh who was presented with a  special award for his involvement and for his commitment to football over the last few years while not being in the best of health but TG Martin told us that he has received a clean bill of health – though he says he has his boots sold I don’t think we could believe that!

Comhghairdeas to our Young Player of the Year Ben McGirl and Senior Player Paddy McManus  well deserved lads –  Ben was presented with the Sean Sammon Cup by Michael Sammon and  Paddy received the Seanie Tubman cup from Annie Tubman – MC for the night was John Lynch who carried out the interviews and put everyone at ease with his great banter.  A lovely part of the night was the good wishes from our Aughnahseelin lads scattered all over the world and one not from Aughnasheeling maybe he might decide to come and join us.  Well done to the 3 Brendans, Lorraine, Mary and Jerome who did a great job organising the night.
