Aughavas GAA Club Notes 11/06/2018

Lotto – There was no winner of the Lotto last Saturday night.  The numbers drawn were 7-5-4-3-1-2-6-0 €30 winners on the night were Eilish Cooke, Paddy & Joan O’Brien, Ciara Masterson, Shane Keegan & Terry Williams.  The House Prize sponsored by The Dugout was won by John Farrelly. The next draw will be run by The Player’s Team which will be held in “The Dugout” on Saturday 23rd June. Jackpot €11,100. Lotto envelopes €2 each or three envelopes for €5 – if you’re not in you can’t win.

Club Meeting – The next Club Meeting will take place on Thursday 21st at 9pm in the Club rooms.  The Golf Classic is on the Agenda.

Golf Classic – The Owen McCaffrey Memorial Shield Golf Classic is in Ballinamore Golf Club on Saturday 30thJune.  A team of 4 is €160.   Please contact Enda on 0876341639 for tee times.

Underage – St Joseph’s U12’s played St Brigid’s on Thursday evening in the Longford/Leitrim league; it was a hard fought close game throughout with both teams playing some great football.  Unfortunately a couple of late scores saw us lose out narrowly on this occasion.  Next up is Grattan Gaels in Aughavas.

Tournament – The Turlough Conefrey Memorial Tournament took place on Sunday last, school teams from Aughavas, Cloone, Gortletteragh and Carrigallen took part on a lovely afternoon for football and excellent conditions.  These teams served up a feast of exciting games, one of the most competitive tournaments yet.  It ended with Aughavas and Gortletteragh in the final with both teams playing their hearts out.  Aughavas just edged it to win back the Shield.  Thanks to everyone who helped out in any way to make the day a success.  All proceeds going to charity.

U13 – Mohill area U13 Regional team take on Carrick area this week.  St Joseph’s have 11 boys on this panel.

U20 – Hard luck to Seamus, Fintan & Eoin and the Leitrim U20’s in their Championship game against Mayo.

2018 Kellogg’s Cúl Camps in Leitrim

Aughavas Kellogg’s Cul Camps will take place from Monday 16th July to Friday 20th July. Registration for Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps 2018 is currently underway online via the website, https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/booking/ Please note: The online booking facility will close at noon on the Wednesday preceding the week of the camps. Please be aware that Registrations will NOT be accepted on the first morning of camp. The only method of registration will be via the online link.
