Bornacoola GAA Club Notes 18/06/2018

Club Draw – The Club Draw for June takes place this Saturday, June 23rd in the Copper Still.

Division 4 – Our final junior game in the Division 4 league takes place this Saturday evening when we host Leitrim Gaels in Dromod at 4.30 – the prefect preparation for the big game in Carrick on Shannon (Leitrim v Louth throws in at 7pm) and with a league final place on the line, it should be a cracker too.

Under 12 Cross County League – Our U12 team continued their campaign last week in the Cross County league playing 2 games. We travelled to Leitrim Gaels on Monday last in what was a great game throughout and it was the home side that ran out eventual winners. On Thursday last we welcomed Wolfe Tones Óg to Dromod this was a very even first half with the sides going in level at half-time but it was the away side aided by the strong wind that won out in the end. Our young Bors are showing great improvement in every game and they finish their campaign this Thursday when we welcome St Vincent’s to Dromod at 7.30. Team on duty: Emma Donelan, Elana Kilrane, Evan Bohan, Jolie Lyons, Senan Woods, Fiona Mulligan, Oisin Maguire, Jonathon Boyle, Conor Reynolds, Eimear Healy, Kealan Lyons, John McGarry, Kian McCormack, James McDowell, Noah Beck, Orla Hackett, Elly Conboy, Aaron Carney

Sympathies – The sympathies of the Club are extended to our President, Fr Gerry O Brien, on the passing of his brother, Michael last week. A native of Cornafean,   Michael spent the last number of years of his life in Bornacoola and then Rooskey and was laid to rest in Coronea, Co Cavan on Friday last. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.

U12 Girls – Our under 12 Girls had their first outing in the championship this evening in Dromod with Drumkeerin providing the opposition. The girls gave an excellent display of football, showed great teamwork and took some excellent scores and came away with a well-deserved victory. The team on duty were as follows
