Mohill GAA Club Notes 27/02/2019

County Team – Well done to the County panel and Management on yet another victory in the NFL. Great to see large crowds travelling to support. Our two men Domhnaill and Shane played their parts to perfection.

Recent Bereavements – We extend deepest sympathy to the family of Oliver Doonan who died last week. Oliver was a stalwart of the Fenagh Club and will be sorely missed by all in Fenagh but especially by his wife Eileen and son Martin. Commiserations also to Manorhamilton GAA on the untimely death a great lady, Fran Faulkner. Ar dheis Dé fo raibh said.

Under 17 – The under 17s suffered a defeat at the hands of an exceptionally strong St Mary’s outfit on Friday last under lights in Cloone. We wish a speedy recovery to Conor Keegan who sustained a serious injury the previous week and Domhnaill Duignan also out with injury. The lads gave it their all and never gave up. The complete panel was: Shane Moran, James Murphy, Gearóid Reynolds, Liam Ellis, Brian Donohue, Fin Cassells, Thomas McNabola, Sean Bohan, Conor Quinn, Aongus McCrann, Keoghan Curran, Caleb Wuabah, Conor Macklin, Conor Mulligan, Niall McNabola, Anthony Luby.

Under 13 – Both Under 13 teams played on Sunday last. Div 1 played Allen Gaels in a fast highly skilled game. The teams were evenly matched in the first half but Drumshanbo had a run of goals in the second half and our gutsy lads did their best to catch up. The panel was, Darren Duignan, Cillian Walpole 1-0, Adam Kiernan, Niall Mulligan, Blaine McCrann, Darren Brennan, Thomas Casey, Tomás Mayock, Keith McCaffrey 1-1, Evan Kilrane, Rian Walpole, Frankie McManus, Daniel Beirne 1-0, Dean Reynolds 1-0. Later in the day the  Division 2 team took on St Brigid’s but they were a bit strong for our young boys. The panel there was: Caoimhín McHugh, Frankie McManus, David Murphy, Darren Brennan, Evan Kilrane, Ryan Gordon, Tomás Mayock 1-2, Thomas Casey, Alan Wynne, Rian Walpole, Coady Tighe 0-2, James Dimmock, Dean Reynolds 2-0, Shane Mayock, John Macklin.

Div 4 – Next Saturday the Div 4 will start when Mohill play Kiltubrid in Pairc Phillib at 4.30. Watch fixtures for underage games.
