Carrigallen GAA Club Notes 20/03/2019

U13’s – Well done to our U13’s who had a good win over Melvin Gaels in Carrigallen on bank holiday Monday. Our lads were guilty of some wayward shooting in the early stages but soon settled and ran out comprehensive winners on a final scoreline of St. Joseph’s 3-14 Melvin Gaels 2-03. We now qualify for the semi finals with no details yet of opposition or venue.

U17’s – Our U17’s suffered their first defeat of the league campaign after they were defeated by McDiarmada Gaels in Ballinamore last Monday. Our hosts were the much hungrier team and ran out convincing winners on a final score of St. Joseph’s 2-09 McDiarmada Gaels 3-14. Our final group game is a home game against Glencar/Manorhamilton next weekend. Keep an eye out for fixtures.

Friday Night Lights – Well done to our u14 players who participated in the inaugural Friday Night Lights initiative in Annaduff Centre of Excellence last Friday. In total 120 boys from all over the county participated in these informal games. Well done to Leitrim Co. Board for this excellent initiative.
