Dundalk Trip – Well done to our trip organisers on a very successful trip away to Dundalk. There have been several photos of the night posted on the club’s Facebook page. We hope all had a brilliant time and a special thanks to John McTiernan, Margaret Fee and Francis McPadden on organising it.

Girls U16 Final – our final Vs Dromahair is fixed for Sunday, 2nd of December. Time and venue yet to be confirmed but keep an eye on our social media pages for updates during the week.

Division One – The last game of the league is a home game and will be played against Glencar/Manorhamilton this Saturday, 27th October, at 4pm. It’ll be played at home down at the pitch in Drumkeerin. It’s the final outing for the team all year and is very important that the lads win to ensure that they avoid relegation from Division One. All support for a big game against a north Leitrim rival will be needed to cheer on the men’s team one last time this year.

U15 Championship – good luck to our U15 boys in their championship shield semi-final against Kiltubrid this Saturday, 27th October, at 12pm in Kiltubrid. Come out to cheer the lads on, best of luck to all involved.

Race Night – Drumkeerin GAA Race Night Fundraiser, It’s that time of year again when the Drumkeeran GAA club goes to the races! Club Executive Meeting – this Wednesday, 26th Sept, at 9pm in the rowanberry. Please make effort as executive member to attend.

Intermediate Championship – the lads played Fenagh in Pairc Sean last weekend suffering a loss of 1-06 to 0-7 pts. An early goal was a real blow to the team but they battled hard from that point onwards. We wish Colm Clarke a speedy recovery, a man that’s never down long. The lads will play Eslin in the Quarter Finals of the Championship this Sunday, 16th September. The game is in Ballinamore at 12 midday, it’s the most important game of the year for the lads and a big turnout will be needed to beat this Eslin team who’ve found scoring easy this year. U15 Championship – hard luck to our young men who suffered a tough defeat to a very good Annaduff team Tuesday last week. They have two games this upcoming weekend, the first they are away to Kiltubrid this Friday, 14th September. The game is in Kiltubrid at 6:30pm. Drumkeeran Festival Committee – well done to the Festival Committee on another successful year of the Drumkeeran festival. We’re already looking forward to next year’s, it’s something that can’t be missed in the calendar.

Intermediate Championship – our final group game of the IFC is this weekend against Fenagh St Callins. The game is at 1:30pm in Pairc Sean, Carrick on Shannon, on Sunday the 9th of August. The team need to get something from the game to guarantee to get out of the group so all support is much appreciated. It’ll be a good contest going by previous meetings between the two sides. Best of luck to all the lads and management

U17 Championship – hard luck to our U17 men who finished their year last week in a semi-final against Ballinamore. A successful year for the lads after winning the league earlier and making it to the Division 1 championship semi-final, they’ve entertained us and made us proud throughout the year. We look forward to watching them in the years to come.

U15 Championship – the lads start their championship this week. Their first game was Tuesday 4th September away to Fenagh, check out social media to see how they got on. Their next game will be Monday 10th September but they’ll be home this time to St. Joesphs at 6:30pm. Best of luck in the matches lads and for the rest of the Championship

U13 Championship – the boys had their semi-final against Ballinamore Monday the 27th August. Unfortunately, it wasn’t their day and they lost in a goalscoring thriller 6-02 to 6-05 in favour of Ballinamore. Our boys came second in the table and did is very proud. They have great futures in front of them, well done lads.

Men’s Intermediate Championship – we played against Leitrim Gaels on Saturday in Pairc Sean in round 3 of group 2 in the Intermediate Championship. The final score was Drumkeerin 0-08(8) to Leitrim Gaels 1-14 (17). A tough loss for the lads. They currently sit in third in group 2 after two wins earlier in the campaign, the top four teams go through to the quarter finals. Theres no game for them this weekend as they take a break before playing Ballinaglera the following Saturday, August 25th. Time and venue to be decided.
Men’s Junior Championship – Our junior men’s championship continued on Sunday when they played Carrigallen. The final score was Drumkeerin 2-12 (18) to Carrigallen 1-19 (22). A game that just got away from them with shortened numbers in the dying minutes of the game. They’ll play Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher this upcoming Saturday in Drumshambo at 5:30pm. It’s the only game of the weekend for the men’s teams and support is appreciated. Best of luck to all involved.
U17 Boys Championship – After a bye week the lads play St Marys this upcoming Monday, 20th Aug, at 7:30pm. The game is on St Marys pitch in Carrick on Shannon. It’s a big game for the lads and plenty of support is encouraged, best of luck to all involved.
U13 Boys Championship – the lads played Fenagh on Thursday last, final score was Drumkeerin 2-08 (14) to Fenagh 1-09 (12). With three games left to play the lads sit in second place in the table. They play Seán Ó hEislin in Ballinamore this Thursday, 16th Aug, at 7:30pm. Best of luck to all involved

Best of Luck – Drumkeerin GAA would like to wish Terry Hyland the best of luck in his new position as Leitrim Senior Team Manager for the 2019 season. His wealth of experience, at that level, is exciting.
Intermediate Championship – last Saturday in the second game of the Leitrim IFC we beat Aughavas 0-15 to 1-05 (8). It was a bit of a stop start game with plenty of drama but the lads have made it two wins from two now in their group. They play against Leitrim Gaels this upcoming Saturday, 11th August. The game is in Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada, Carrick, at 7pm. Come out and support them as they attempt to continue their winning start to the campaign.
Junior A Championship – Our junior men’s championship continues this weekend in round 2 against Carrigallen. The game is in Cloone at 1:45pm on Sunday. Come out to support the lads in what will be another tough game but will be guaranteed entertainment.
Ladies Intermediate Championship – Hard luck to the ladies last weekend on their defeat to a very good Mohill team on Sunday. The young team has had a number of injuries this year that hasn’t helped their championship campaign. Their final game of the group will be against St Francis in the upcoming weeks. Date and venue will be updated in the notes and on social media when confirmed.
U17 Boys Championship – our U17 lads played Leitrim Gaels on Monday evening, in a high scoring and tight affair the lads came away with the points winning by a final score of, Drumkeerin 3-12 to Leitrim Gaels 2-13. The lads are out against St Mary’s-Kiltoghert, on Monday the 20th of August, in their final group game of the championship. In a tight Division 1 Championship it’ll be important for the lads to get all the support they can to push them over the line and get a place in the final, make sure to clear the diary and come support them.
U13 Boys Championship – well done to our young U13 team who beat Allen Gaels last Thursday, 2nd August. The final score was Drumkeerin 7-11 (32) to Allen Gaels 1-05 (8). That win puts them second in the table with their next game against Fenagh this Thursday, 9th August, at 7:30pm in Drumkeerin. Come out and support these young men try to keep the good run going.

Intermediate Championship – we played against Cloone on Saturday in Drumshambo in our first group game. The final score was Drumkeerin 1-10(13) to Cloone 0-09, a good win to start the campaign. The lads play against Aughavas this Saturday in Drumshambo again at 7pm, come and support the lads make it two from two.
Junior Championship – Our junior men’s championship started on Sunday where they played Gortletteragh. The final score was Drumkeerin 0-07 to Gortletteragh 2-06 (12). A tad unlucky in a game that appeared tighter than the result finished. With no game this weekend they’ll be out again on the Sunday week, 12th of August, to play Carrigallen. Time and venue to be decided.
U17 Boys Championship – our U17 lads played Fenagh on Monday last and won 4-12 (24) to 2-09 (15). The lads started strongly in a high scoring affair that they came out the right side of. They’ll play Leitrim Gaels in Leitrim Village next Monday, 6th August at 7:30pm in round 5. Come out and support the lads.
U13 Boys Championship – the lads played St Brigids on Thursday last, final score was Drumkeerin 2-07 (13) to St Brigid’s 4-13 (25). They’re still going well in the group and have Allen Gaels up next, they play in Drumkeerin on Thursday at 7:30pm. Come out and support the lads.

World Cup mini league result – Thanks to everyone who participated in our World Cup mini league. It was entertaining to take part in whilst at the same time raising funds for the club. The winner was Pauric Murphy, in 2nd place was Peter Lowe and in 3rd place was Ciaran McNama. Pauric also won the overall mini league, never gave us a chance. Your prizes are on their way to you. We may run more mini leagues in the near future. Thank you for the continued support

Smith Monumentals Intermediate Championship – the first group game is upon us, we play against Cloone on Saturday at 7pm in Drumshambo. Last time we met them was only last year in the quarter finals, a very tight game which we won late. The game is set to be a great opener, come out and support the team in their opener.

Dunnes Bar Division One – We had our final league game away vs Mohill last Saturday. It was a tough game, both teams trading points in a physical match. We trailed by two points at half time and pressing late on in the game challenged a strong Mohill outfit down til the dying minutes. The full time score was Drumkeerin 1-10 (13) to Mohill 0-16. The last game of the league is a home game and will be played against Glencar/Manorhamilton after the Championship has been finished.

Pyramid Bookmakers Junior Championship – Our junior men’s championship starts the afternoon after our intermediate opener. The lads will be playing against Gortletteragh in Ballinamore at 1.30pm Sunday, July 29th. After some good performances with the junior league team to finish near the top of the table, the championship team will be hoping to emulate those performances. Come out to support and cheer the lads on

Ladies Intermediate Championship – Hard luck to the ladies last weekend on their defeat to a very good Bornacoola/St Marys last Sunday. We wish Bridget Gallagher a speedy recovery after getting injured in the match. The girls have two matches left in the campaign against Mohill and St Francis, updates of the fixtures will be posted through our social media pages.

Newtowngore Engineering U17 Championship – our U17 lads played Ballinamore on Monday evening, it was a tight match full of action. Ballinamore won by 0-18 to 1-10. The lads are out against Fenagh next Monday at 7.30pm in Drumkeerin. Come out and support these young men, they’ve won two of three of their championship matches so far and are going strong.

Barna Recycling U13  Championship – well done to our young U13 team who beat Melvin Gaels 6-07 (25) to 1-04 (7) down on the pitch. That’s two wins from two and they sit at the top of the table with their next game against St Brigids on Thursday, 26th July, at 7:30pm. Venue to be decided but it will be posted on our social media pages
