U20 – Hard luck to the St. Manchan’s under 20 team who were beaten by Melvin Gaels in the LH Heating Leitrim U20 A Championship Final recently.

Sympathy – The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of Anna Reynolds (nee Bohan), Eslin Bridge P.O., who passed away recently. May her gentle soul Rest In Peace.

AGM – The clubs AGM will take place on Thursday 27th at 5pm. All club members are asked to attend.

Dinner Dance – We are holding our dinner dance on Saturday the 2nd of February in Lough Rynn Castle. The lads will be presented with their Division 3 league winning medals, and the 1988 and 1993 championship winning teams will also be honored on the night. U-20 – Well done to the St. Manachans u-20 team who beat Ballinamore  in the LH Heating Leitrim Under 20 A Championship and now book a place in the final against Melvin Gaels which takes place on Sunday 25th in Pairc Sean at 12pm. Best of luck to the team and management.

Hurling – Well done to Conor Beirne, James Mc Nabola and the Carrick Hurling team on winning the Connacht Junior Club Final on Saturday beating Ballygar 2-11 to 2-09.

Intermediate – Hard luck to Fenagh who lost out to Shamrock Gaels by the narrowest of margins in the Connacht Intermediate Championship.

Good Luck: Best of luck to our neighbours Mohill who take on Aughawillan in the Senior Championship Final on Sunday.

Championship: Unfortunately our championship ended in the semi-final stage with Anaduff taking the win this time around. This was an excellent year for our lads and they should be very proud of themselves, to go from a championship relegation final last year to making it to the championship semi-final this year and winning the division three league just shows the great effort and hard work they put in over the year. Well done to the management team of Martin Mc Gowan, Joe Reynolds, Noel Mc Nulty, Barry Bohan and Declan Wynne who did a great job getting the lads this far. The club would like to thank all the people who came out in great numbers to support the lads over the year, lets hope ye can all do the same next year and get behind the lads again. We look forward to another successful year next year and we hope this bunch of lads stick together and give it another rattle.

Championship – Well done to the lads on a great win over Drumkeeran on Sunday in the Smith Monumentals intermediate championship. It was a very entertaining and exciting game and was very close all the way to the final whistle, but the lads kept going winning out by 5 points on a scoreline of 4-07 to 2-08. This now sets up a semi-final with neighbours Annaduff who we have already played in the group stage. Let’s hope it will be the same result this time around. Great to see supporters out in big numbers again, keep your diaries free for the big game in two weeks.

Championship – Well done to the lads on another great win in the Smith Monumentals IFC on Sunday last beating Kiltubrid 1-12 to 1-10 in a very entertaining game. This result means we topped the group and now face Drumkeeran in the quarter final which takes place in Ballinamore on Sunday 16th at 12pm. Best of luck to the players and management. We had great support on Sunday, so  lets hope ye can all come out again this Sunday and cheer the lads on.

Championship – We suffered our first defeat of the Smith Monumentals IFC on Sunday last where Carrigallen beat us 4-11 to 5-06. While we didnt perform in the first half we fought back well in the second half which was positive for the lads. The last game of the group stage is against Kiltubrid on Sunday 9th Sept, lets hope we can win this one and it will leave us in a good position going into the quarter final.
