Leitrim Community Facilities – The Leitrim Community Facilities National Lottery Scheme has completed another year and a draw will be held in the coming weeks for all paid up members. There will 12 x €100 prizes, Committee members will call on those who pay cash or cheque for membership for the next 12 months. Any person who would like to join the scheme can contact Joseph Guckian or Willie Donnellan or any committee member. The cost is €10 per month. The scheme is run to raise funds to pay outstanding loans on Leitrim Gaels Community Field and St Joseph’s Centre. The total of the loan outstanding of approximately €95,000.

Connacht Club Championship – Best of luck to Fenagh against Sligo champions Shamrock Gaels in the Connacht club championship on Saturday at 2pm in Enniscrone. Also best wishes to Glenfarne who also play Sligo champions Easkey in the Junior club championship on Saturday at 2pm in Avantcard Páirc Sean.

Kiltubrid Lip Sync –  Kiltubrid Lip Sync is in The Landmark on Nov 17th in aid of their Park Development plan. They are looking for acts to participate, the acts can be one to twenty people.  The event is being run by a professional team of dancers and choreographers. Practice next 3 Saturdays in Cardiff’s Lounge Drumcong. Each act gets a 20 min slot with the team between 10am and 12pm. At the start of the show on the night, there’s a group performance by all acts- this will also be factored into practice.  Kiltubrid are seeking acts from neighbouring clubs to participate. Having been good supporters of Leitrim Gaels over the years anyone that is interested please contact Aine on  0872544388. As far as fundraising goes, it is minimal for the acts at this stage, it is about the participation and support of the event as part of the Park Development plan.

Division 1 – The final game of the division 1 league against St Mary’s is scheduled for Saturday at 4pm in Leitrim. Tis is subject to change.

Under 15 Championship – The under 15-team play St Brigids in the shield semi-final of the championship this evening Wednesday at 7pm in Kiltubrid.

Hurling Final – well done  to Liam, Colm, Enda and Donal Moreton, Mark Breheny and Stephen Goldick who were part of the Carrick Hurling team who won the championship fnal on Saturday last I Ballinamore. Well done to Stephen who was awarded the man of the math. Again best of luck to the team in the Connaught championship against Sligo Champions CooleraStrandhill which takes place on Monday next in Pairc sean at 2pm.

Congratulations – Congratulations to Aaron Mc Loughlin on being voted Leitrim New York player of the year. Aaron will be presented with his award at the Leitrim NY GFC dinner dance in Rosiie O’Grady’s on December 8th.

Intermediate Championship – The intermediate were defeated in their semi-final against Fenagh on Saturday last in Pairc Sean. Well done to all the players on a superb run through the group stages. They have one league game left to play against St Marys. Thanks to the management team of Mal, Peter and Bobby for having the team in such good fitness. Thank you to the supporters who were behind the team all year and let their voices be heard. Best of luck to Fenagh in the final.

Intermediate Championship – The intermediate championship semi-final against favourites Fenagh is Saturday afternoon next in Pairc Sean at 3:30pm. We urge as many supporters as possible to come out and get behind the team as it is sure to go down to the wire.

Junior B Championship – The Junior B team bowed out of the championship last weekend when they were defeated by Fenagh in the semi-final. Well done to all the players who trained hard all year and Thanks to the management team of Peter Goldrick and Mal Guckian

Table Quiz – Thanks to all those who attended our quiz night on Friday night last. Thank you to Dessie Doyle for questions and comparing and to all those who donated prizes. Thanks to david Carty and staff for their wonderful hospitality and to the winning team the Master Debators , who donated the winning prize back to the club.

Intermediate Championship – The intermediate team have qualified for the semi for of the championship after they saw off the contest of Ballinamore Sean O Heslins, on Sunday evening last in Pairc Sean. After a poor start trailing 6 points to no score after 10 minutes, the lads woke up and went in at halftime 0-9 to 0-5 down. With the introduction of Enda Moreton at half time, the Gaels found the scoring boots, and turned the scoreboard around to win 2-14 to 0-10. They play favourites for the title Fenagh on the weekend of 29th/30th September. Thanks to the large Gaels support who came out in their number to support the lads.

Junior B Championship – The Junior B team are in action on Saturday next when they play Fenagh in the semi-final of the Junior b championship. The game is in Ballinamore at 4:30pm and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Under 15 Championship – The under 15 team continue their championship campaign when they play St Brigid’s at home in Leitrim at 12 noon on Saturday.

Go Games – Our underage teams are travelling to Croke Park on Sunday 23rd September to participate in the go game. For further information, contact Aidan Flynn.

The team are through to the quarter final which takes this Sunday next against Ballinamore in Pairc Sean at 6pm. We wish Cloone’s Gavin Reynolds a speedy recovery after he suffered a knock in the game on Sunday

Under 15 Championship – The under 15 team started their championship on Tuesday evening last week and lost out narrowly to Glencar Manorhamilton. They suffered another loss to the hands of Mohill on Monday evening. They play St Brigids at home in Leitrim at 6:30 pm on Friday.

Under 17 Championship – Well done to the under 17 team and management team of Joe Casey, Benny Mc Loughlin and Johnny Donnegan who finished off the year by winning the shield final recently.

Go Games – Our underage teams are travelling to Croke Park on Sunday 23rd September to participate in go game. For further information, contact Aidan Flynn.

Fundraiser – The club are running a number of fundraisers over the next few months to help funding for all teams from underage up to Adult level. On Friday night 21st September, there is a table quiz in Carty’s lock 17 starting a 9pm. Table of 4 €40. There will be a Poker Night on Friday 19th October in Leitrim Marina Hotel.

Under 13 Championship – Hard luck to our brilliant under 13 team who fought to the final whistle against a very strong St Marys team in Pairc Sean on Friday evening last. In a wonderfully exciting game our lads lost by the bare minimum with St Marys snatching victory with a point from a free in the last play of the game. Both teams entertained the very large crowd with some absolutely brilliant skills and determination to match. Our lads did the club proud and with a little bit more luck could have been the victors. Thanks to Aidan Flynn who has worked so hard in preparing this panel of players so well all year to have a Gaels underage team making a Division 1 Championship final for the first time. Better days lie ahead in the not so distant future for these kids. Well done one and all, and thank you to the wonderful Gaels supporters who once again turned out in droves to cheer the team on. Championship – The intermediate championship returns this weekend with the final group game against Cloone. The game is in Ballinamore on Sunday at 1:30pm. The team are through to the quarter finals and if the they win the game on Sunday will top the group. All support would be appreciated.

Championship – The intermediate team continued their unbeaten run in the championship, seeing off fenagh 3-14 to 1-11 on Saturday evening last. Their final group game is against Cloone on the weekend after next September 8th/9th. The junior B team also won at the weekend beating off Ballinamore 4-15 to 3-05. They are through to the semi-finals on the weekend of September 22nd.

Under 13 Championship – The under 13 team have qualified for the division 1 Championship final after seeing off Annaduff in the semi-final on Monday evening. They are the first team in history of the club to qualify for a final in division 1. Opponents and date of final to be confirmed.

Under 17 Championship – the under 17 team have qualified for the championship shield final after they beat Allen Gaels 1-18 to 3-07 at the weekend in the semi-final. Date of final to be confirmed.

Under 13 Championship – There was mixed fortunes for our two Under 13 teams on Thursday evening last, when they played St Marys. The 15-aide team won their game 4-11 to 3-10. The reserve team lost 4-05 to 1-07. The two teams are playing Dromahaire at home in Leitrim tomorrow evening Thursday.

Under 17 Championship – The under 17 team play Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins at home in Leitrim in their final group game on Monday evening nest at 7:30pm
