Intermediate Championship – The intermediate championship semi-final against favourites Fenagh is Saturday afternoon next in Pairc Sean at 3:30pm. We urge as many supporters as possible to come out and get behind the team as it is sure to go down to the wire.

Junior B Championship – The Junior B team bowed out of the championship last weekend when they were defeated by Fenagh in the semi-final. Well done to all the players who trained hard all year and Thanks to the management team of Peter Goldrick and Mal Guckian

Table Quiz – Thanks to all those who attended our quiz night on Friday night last. Thank you to Dessie Doyle for questions and comparing and to all those who donated prizes. Thanks to david Carty and staff for their wonderful hospitality and to the winning team the Master Debators , who donated the winning prize back to the club.

Go Games – The under 12 team travelled to croke park to take part in Go games on Sunday last well done to all the players and those who travelled with them. Thanks to Martin and Josie Murtagh for sponsoring tops for the occasion.

Intermediate Championship – The intermediate team have qualified for the semi for of the championship after they saw off the contest of Ballinamore Sean O Heslins, on Sunday evening last in Pairc Sean. After a poor start trailing 6 points to no score after 10 minutes, the lads woke up and went in at halftime 0-9 to 0-5 down. With the introduction of Enda Moreton at half time, the Gaels found the scoring boots, and turned the scoreboard around to win 2-14 to 0-10. They play favourites for the title Fenagh on the weekend of 29th/30th September. Thanks to the large Gaels support who came out in their number to support the lads.

Junior B Championship – The Junior B team are in action on Saturday next when they play Fenagh in the semi-final of the Junior b championship. The game is in Ballinamore at 4:30pm and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Under 15 Championship – The under 15 team continue their championship campaign when they play St Brigid’s at home in Leitrim at 12 noon on Saturday.

Go Games – Our underage teams are travelling to Croke Park on Sunday 23rd September to participate in the go game. For further information, contact Aidan Flynn.

The team are through to the quarter final which takes this Sunday next against Ballinamore in Pairc Sean at 6pm. Under 15 Championship – The under 15 team started their championship on Tuesday evening last week and lost out narrowly to Glencar Manorhamilton. They suffered another loss to the hands of Mohill on Monday evening. They play St Brigids at home in Leitrim at 6:30 pm on Friday.

Under 17 Championship – Well done to the under 17 team and management team of Joe Casey, Benny Mc Loughlin and Johnny Donnegan who finished off the year by winning the shield final recently.

Fundraiser – The club are running a number of fundraisers over the next few months to help funding for all teams from underage up to Adult level. Under 13 Championship – Hard luck to our brilliant under 13 team who fought to the final whistle against a very strong St Marys team in Pairc Sean on Friday evening last. In a wonderfully exciting game our lads lost by the bare minimum with St Marys snatching victory with a point from a free in the last play of the game. Both teams entertained the very large crowd with some absolutely brilliant skills and determination to match. Our lads did the club proud and with a little bit more luck could have been the victors. Thanks to Aidan Flynn who has worked so hard in preparing this panel of players so well all year to have a Gaels underage team making a Division 1 Championship final for the first time. Better days lie ahead in the not so distant future for these kids. Well done one and all, and thank you to the wonderful Gaels supporters who once again turned out in droves to cheer the team on. Championship – The intermediate championship returns this weekend with the final group game against Cloone. The game is in Ballinamore on Sunday at 1:30pm. The team are through to the quarter finals and if the they win the game on Sunday will top the group. All support would be appreciated.

Championship – The intermediate team continued their unbeaten run in the championship, seeing off fenagh 3-14 to 1-11 on Saturday evening last. Their final group game is against Cloone on the weekend after next September 8th/9th. The junior B team also won at the weekend beating off Ballinamore 4-15 to 3-05. They are through to the semi-finals on the weekend of September 22nd.

Under 13 Championship – The under 13 team have qualified for the division 1 Championship final after seeing off Annaduff in the semi-final on Monday evening. They are the first team in history of the club to qualify for a final in division 1. Opponents and date of final to be confirmed.

Under 17 Championship – the under 17 team have qualified for the championship shield final after they beat Allen Gaels 1-18 to 3-07 at the weekend in the semi-final. Date of final to be confirmed.

Longford/Leitrim Cross Border Under 12 League – The under 12 contested the under 12 Longford Leitrim League final against St Francis Drumard on Sunday evening. After a very well contested first half, they led 2-03 to 1-01. The Drumard side started the 2nd half the better with more fire in their belly and turn the result around scoring 3-04 without reply. The Gaels did mount a come back with some wonderful points and hitting the crossbar on a number of occasions. In the end, they came up short losing 2-08 to 4-05. This is a very talented group of players and they will taste success in the not to a decent future. Their coach Aidan Flynn deserves a lot of praise for the skill they displayed and the respect they show towards their opponents and the referee. Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp Registration – Registration for Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps 2018 is currently underway online via the website, https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/booking/ Please note: The online booking facility will close at noon on the Wednesday preceding the week of the camps. This year and going forward, Registrations will NOT be accepted on the first morning of camp. Registration can be completed using the online facility above, or through your local GAA club, at the club registration evening, which will be held in all clubs on Tuesday 30/5/17 at 7pm.
