Under 12 League – The under 12 team played their final Longford Leitrim League game on Thursday last beating St Francis 7-14 to 4-12. They play Grattan Gaels in the semi-final at home in Leitrim tomorrow Thursday at 6:30pm. We urge as many supporters as possible to come out and support this talent group of players.

Division 4 – The Division 4 team played Bornacoola on Saturday last and finished the league on a high winning 2-11 to 3-05. Great to see club stalwart Ciaran Corcoran come on and get on the scoresheet. Well done to managers Peter Goldrick and Mal Guckian and team and best of luck in the Junior B championship starting in early August

LeitrimSeniors – Well Done to Aidan Flynn and the Leitrim Senior team and management beating Louth in the Qualifiers. We wish them best of luck against the Farney Armey, Monaghan on Saturday at 2:30 pm in Pairc Sean in round 3.

Leitrim Minors – Best of luck to Donal Casey, Jack Flynn and Matthew Earley and the Leitrim minor team playing Sligo in Markievicz Park on Friday Evening at 7:30pm.

Under 20’s – the county under 20’s were knocked out of the Connaught championship on Saturday. The club was well represented on the team with Narada Protrasco, Stephen Mc Dermott, Donal Moreton, Patrick Flynn and Shaun Chandler.

Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp Registration – Registration for Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps 2018 is currently underway online via the website, https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/booking/ . Please note: The online booking facility will close at noon on the Wednesday preceding the week of the camps. This year and going forward, Registrations will NOT be accepted on the first morning of camp. Registration can be completed using the online facility above, or through your local GAA club, at the club registration evening, which will be held in all clubs on Tuesday 30/5/17 at 7pm. The club registration evening will be co-ordinated by the club-coaching officer. COST: €60 for 1st child. €50 for 2nd child. €40 for 3rd and subsequent children. The camp will take place in Leitrim Gaels Community field from 23rd – 27th July.

Cumann na mBunscol – Well done to both the Boys and Girls teams of St Joseph’s Ns Leitrim Village who won the Cumann na mBunscol Division 1 title. On Monday of last week the girls team seen off a very good team from Ballinamore to win. Then on Wednesday evening the boys team were victorious in the Shield final beating St Manchans NS Mohill.

Under 15 League – The under 15 team played their Ballinamore in the shield final on Friday and were deserved winners on a score line of 3-16 to 1-05. Well done to all.

Division 4 – The Division 4 team play Aughavas at home in Leitrim on Sunday at 1pm.

Exams – Best of luck to all our club members who are doing their Junior and Leaving Cert exams over the next few weeks.

Division 1 – The division 1 team play Fenagh away on Sunday in Fenagh at 12 noon.

Under 15 League – The under 15 team played their St Josephs in the Shield semi-final on Friday and emerged victorious. 3-15 to 5-07.The final is likely to be this Friday with venue and time to be confirmed..

Leitrim v Roscommon – congratulations to Aidan Flynn on being the first Leitrim Gaels player to start outfield for Leitrim in a championship game.

Westlink Coaches Under 15 League – The under 15 team played their final league game on Monday evening showing true spirit they saw off a strong Sean O Heslin side by 1 point 4-14 to 3-16. The result sees them qualify for the shield.

Leitrim v New York – Best of Luck to Aidan Flynn, Colm Moreton and the Leitrim Team playing New York in Gaelic Park on Sunday. Safe travels to all the supporters travelling from the village.

Swan Bar Division 4 – The division 4 team played Cloone on Saturday last, but were beaten by a better team. They play Kiltubrid on Saturday next in Leitrim at 7pm.

5km Run – Leitrim Village 5km Canal run and walk Sunday 29th April at 12 noon from Leitrim Gaels Community Field. All funds go towards Community Cardiac Rehab Programme Leitrim/Roscommon and St Joseph’s Centre Leitrim village. Entry fee €10/ €20 per Family.

Big Night Out – Leitrim Gaels will be holding a fundraiser in Rory Dolan’s, McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY on Friday the 4th of May 2018 at 9pm. Presentations on the night from the club will be made to Willie Reynolds and Mary O Keefe in recognition of the work they did in NY 20 years ago fundraising for the club. There will be door prizes, raffle prizes, 50/50 draw and music on the night. All Gaels home and abroad are welcome on the night for what promises to be a great night.

Division 1 – The first team played Mohill on Saturday evening last in Leitrim and put in great performance to earn a draw 2-10 to 1-13. Goals from Enda Moreton and Aiden Flynn had the Gaels leading by a point going into injury time. This was a heart-warming team effort from the goalie to the subs. Thanks to all the supporters who came on and cheered on the team. Next game is not until May 12th.

Division 4 – The division 4 team played St Mary’s on Sunday afternoon and put on a superb display to win 4-14 to 0-05. They play clone away on Saturday evening at 7pm.

Intermediate Championship – The draw for the Intermediate Championship took place on Monday evening. We are drawn in a group with Drumkerrin, Ballinaglera, Fenagh, Aughavas and Cloone. All of these teams are excellent outfits, so it should make for a competitive group stage.

Division 1 – The Division 1 team picked up their first points in the league on Saturday after seeing off the brave challenge of Ballinaglera. Ballinaglera started the better, but an Enda Moreton goal soon brought the Gaels back into contention. The sides were level at 1-06 to 0-9 at halftime. Leitrim Gaels got the crucial early points in the second half, but Ballinaglera kept on battling and put it up to our lads all the way to the end. Final score 1-13 to 0-14. The team play Championship and League winners from 2017 Mohill at home in Leitrim on Saturday at 7pm. This is a huge game for the team so all support is welcome.

Under 13 League – The under 13 team played their semi-final on Monday evening, but unfortunately lost out on a place in the final to St Marys by 3-10 to 3-07.  Well done to all the players who done both themselves and the club proud. The reserve team play their semi-final this evening Wednesday at 6:30pm in Leitrim against St Marys, Best of luck to them.

Leitrim GAA Strategic Plan – Coiste Chontae Liatroma CLG is in the process of producing a Strategic Development Plan for the next three years.

As part of the consultation process, adult members of the GAA in Leitrim are being asked for their views under a number of headings. Division 1 – The Division 1 team started their league campaign away to Ballinamore on Saturday evening last. The team put in a solid performance but came up short on a scoreline of 0-13 to0-11 in favour of Ballinamore. This Saturday evening they play Ballinaglera in Ballinaglera at 6:30pm. Your support will be welcome.

Under 13 League – The under 13 team had a busy week gone by. On Wednesday, last they overcame Mohill beating them 3-14 to 1-05. On Friday evening they played St Josephs in a very competitive game and came out on top with one point to spare 2-09 to 1-11. The result puts them into the semi-final of the league. This game will be played on Monday evening next. Their Opponents and venue have to be announced.

Under 17 League – The Under 17 team had a very good win over Mohill on Saturday last winning 4-12 to 1-05. They play Fenagh at home in Leitrim this evening Wednesday at 6:30pm in their final league game.
