Dunnes Bar Division 1 – Division 1 (Senior Football) returns to the club this weekend with an away fixture against Ballinamore, throw in at 6.30pm. It will be great to see you all out supporting the team. Good luck to Mal, Peter and Bobby on the season ahead.

Barna Recycling Under 13 League – The under 13 team had a win over Melvin Gaels on Sunday last. They play top of table Mohill this evening Wednesday in Leitrim at 6pm. The Reserve team plays Mohill at 7pm. The team plays St Josephs at home on Monday at 6pm.

Newtowngore Engineering Under 17 League – The Under 17 team are away to Mohill on Saturday at 12 noon. They play Fenagh at home in Leitrim on Wednesday next at 6:30pm.

Membership – Membership is due. Non-Playing Member €25, Playing Adult €60, Student/Juvenile €40 and Underage €20. There will be a registration session at the clubhouse on Monday from 4-5.30pm prior to Under 13 game. Club Gear will be available at the registration – calendar’s, bobble hats and those wanting to order half zip tops.

Un7,9 and 11s – Training continues Friday evening for all girls and boys in the area. Under 7 Boys and Girls from 6-7pm. Under 9 and 11 boys and girls 7-8pm. Thanks to all the underage players who turned out in their club colours for the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Carrick.

The membership funds go towards for players the €2,700 Player Injury Fund that we have to contribute to each year to cover potential insurance claims and for non-playing members toward the €1,800 we pay for public liability and property insurance to the GAA.

Under 13 league – This year we have two under 13 teams. We are taking part in the 15 a side and reserve leagues. On Sunday last we played Dromahair in both completions, we had a good victory over Dromahair in both games. Congratulations to the management team. Training continues this evening from 7 to 8.15.We have a challenge game on Thursday evening at 7 in Ballyfarnon against Shannon Gaels. Next league game against Glencar/Manorhamilton on Saturday in Manorhamilton at 3:30pm.

Under 17 League – Our under 17 team began their campaign on Saturday morning last when they played St Josephs in Carrigallen. St Josephs were the stronger team and won by six points. The club wishes Donal Casey a speedy recovery and hope it will not be long before he is back playing again. Next league game this Saturday morning at 12 noon against Sean o Heslins in Ballinamore.

Gaeltacht Grant – Leitrim County Board and Leitrim County Council have agreed on a scheme for Gaeltacht Grants for 2018. Applications will be accepted from boys and girls resident in Leitrim and, for these grants, they do not need to be members of GAA clubs. Grants of €200 will be awarded to the successful applicants who will be drawn from a hat. Applicants who were unsuccessful under the GAA’s own scheme will be included in the draw and need not apply again.
