Dunnes Bar Senior League v Fenagh – The Seniors continued their good run with another win over Fenagh/St Cailin’s in Fenagh last Saturday evening. Final score was Fenagh 1-12, Melvin Gaels 3-11. Westlink Coaches Under 15 League – Last Thursday the Under 15 team had another great win over Drumkeerin in St Osnat’s. The final score was Melvin Gaels 3-17, Drumkeerin 4-4. Well done all, On Friday May 24 at 7pm these lads take on Annaduff. Venue for this game to be decided and will be published on Club Facebook page.

Swan Bar Division 3 – The Juniors made the long trip to Carrigallen last Saturday and had another good win over the home team in Division 3. Final score Carrigallen 3-12, Melvin Gaels 4-17. Well done to all the players and mentors.

The Late Pat Mc Gurran – The Club extends deepest sympathy to all the family, relatives and many friends of the late Pat Mc Gurran, Agharrow, Tullaghan, who passed away last week. Pat was a great Melvin Gaels man and was Honorary President of the Club. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Muriel was a great supporter of the club and was very much involved in the development of the Community Centre and many more Community organisations in the area. May she rest in peace.

Gaelic4Mothers+Others – Melvin Gaels Gaelic4Mothers + Others is a recreational programme for women who have not played football before or who haven’t played in a long time to hone their football skills in a non – competitive, fun environment. League Division 3 – No joy for the Junior Lads on Saturday evening last when they travelled to Ballinamore and were defeated on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-6. Next Saturday they have a home game against St Mary’s at 7pm on Saturday. This game is at St Osnat’s.

National Club Draw – Great news from the National Club Draw last week when it was announced that the Club had won €1000. The Club was included in the draw as we sold over the quota of club tickets. Great Day for Leitrim – There was great excitement in Pairc Sean on Sunday when Leitrim defeated London and gained promotion to Division 3. A fantastic achievement for the county and all involved. We can accommodate anyone young or old at either session but if at all possible please attend on the date that applies to you or your family.
