Westlink Coaches U15 League – Unfortunately, we were defeated by Drumkeerin last Thursday on a score of 2-08 to 9-09. Next up is a home match against Allen Gaels in The Park on Thursday 16th and an away game against Fenagh/St Caillins on Monday 20th May. Good luck lads.
Cúl Camp – This year’s camp takes place in Dromahair from 15th-19th July. Places can be booked at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie
Dunnes Bar Division 2 – We are down to play Drumreilly in The Park this Sunday 19th May at 2pm. Both teams have a 100% record in the league so far so we will be looking for big support to cheer the team on.
U9 Blitz – We hosted Melvin Gaels for an enjoyable blitz last Friday with good football played by both teams. As always thank you to the parents for bringing the boys along.
Féile 2019 – Fixtures are now finalised. We will be playing Devenish from Fermanagh and Cloonacool/Tubbercurry in Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry on Friday 28th June and then we play O’Hanrahan’s GFC from Carlow on Saturday 29th June in The Park. We will also be hosting O’Hanrahan’s Carlow for the duration of the tournament. If any families can help with hosting please make contact with a club official asap.

Westlink Coaches Under 15 – St Josephs U15s played Mohill in Aughavas in the latest round of the league on Thursday. The lads put in their best performance of the year so far to record a win on a final scoreline of St Josephs 7-14 Mohill 4-08. There were good displays throughout the team and hopefully they can carry this form through in the remaining games. The St Josephs squad on the day was Kian Mimna, Padraig Maguire, Fiachra Casey, James Quinn, Keelan Furlong, Cathal Mc Namara, Eanna Mc Namara, Pearse Kenny, Harry Wilson, Declan Brooks, Kalum Mc Loughlin, Fionnan Harte, Darren Shortt, Aodhan Harte, Liam Mc Intyre, Tommy Kearney, Cian Mc Hugh, Gary Mitchell, Jack Mc Intyre, Cian Nolan, Matthew Mc Cabe. Our next game is away to Glencar/Manorhamilton this Thursday at 7pm.

Swan Bar Division 4 League – The junior team played Aughawillian on Saturday evening last in Cloone. They were narrowly defeated by 2 points in a close encounter. The Intermediate team will now play Carrigallen in the next round of their league in Cloone on Saturday evening next. All support appreciated for this home game. 

Allianz Cuman na mBunscol – Hard luck to the girls of Fatima NS Cloone who played Aughavas NS  in the Division 3 league final on Saturday morning last in Fenagh. Despite trailing by 8 points at the interval, Cloone came back to draw the game but narrowly lost by 1 point in the end. Well done to Aughavas NS on a great game and performance. There was plenty of young talent on display on both sides. Golf Classic – Date for You Diaries – Cloone G.A.A. will be running their Golf Classic this year on Saturday, June 8th in Ballinamore Golf Club. More details to follow. Looking forward to another great day of golf again this year.

Swan Bar Division 3 – The Juniors made the long trip to Carrigallen last Saturday and had another good win over the home team in Division 3. Final score Carrigallen 3-12, Melvin Gaels 4-17. Well done to all the players and mentors. 

Westlink Coaches Under 15 League – The Under 15 team had another great win in Fenagh last Thursday evening. Final score, Fenagh 0-6, Melvin Gaels 3-14. Well done to all. Next up is a home game against Drumkeerin next Thursday May 16 and an away game against Leitrim Gaels on Monday May 20. Good luck in these two games.

Dunnes Bar Senior League – The Senior League is back again and the Gaels have a game against Fenagh/St Cailins next Saturday May 18 in Fenagh. Throw in for this game is 7pm. Good luck to all.

Congratulations Roisin – Congratulations to Roisin Williams who was picked to play for Leitrim Cumann na mBunscol ahead of the Roscommon v Leitrim game on Sunday. It was a busy weekend for Roisin as she also had her Confirmation on Saturday.

Allianz Cumann na mBunscol – Best of luck to St.Michael’s National school boys who play in the Division 5 shield final against Gael Scoil Chluainin this Saturday, 18th, at 10.15 in Pairc Sean. St. Michaels’s girls play in the Division 4 league final against Aughnasheelin, also on Saturday in Pairc Sean, with the throw in at 12 noon. We wish them the very best of luck also. All support is greatly appreciated.
Under 9 – Well done to our under 9 team who took part in the blitz tournament in Manorhamilton on Saturday morning, against Glencar Manor and Drumkeerin teams. It was a very well organised event with all the kids enjoying themselves and getting lots of game time. Well done to all concerned.
Swan Bar Division 3 – Our Junior A side suffered a heavy defeat away to a strong Ballinamore side on Saturday evening last in the league. Yes, we had a few players away on the day but we can have no complaints about the result. We never really got going and were second best from the start. We have no game this coming weekend.
Connacht Championship – Hard luck to the Leitrim senior team and management on their defeat to Roscommon on Sunday in Hyde Park. This comprehensive defeat was especially difficult to take from a Leitrim perspective following our great run in the league. However, we look forward now to the qualifiers and, hopefully, a favourable draw.

Fixtures – Our next game for our Div 2 team is an away game v Mohill on Saturday 18th at 7pm.  Hard luck to our Juniors who were defeated by Leitrim Gaels on Saturday evening last.

St Joseph’s Boys – Well done to our U15 boys on a good victory over Mohill on Thursday evening last in Aughavas.  This Thursday evening we travel to Manorhamiliton and on Monday 20th we have St Mary’s at home to complete our league fixtures.

Allianz Cumann na mBunscol – Hard luck to the Aughavas boy’s team that lost out to Drumkeerin in a very competitive and tight Division 3 final in Fenagh on Saturday morning.  Well done to the school girl’s team that came out on top by the slenderest of margins, in an exciting and nail-biting Division 3 final against neighbours Cloone.

Lotto – Our Jackpot now stands at €13,400 and the draw will take place in “Terry Shortt’s Heritage Bar” on Saturday 18th May with Dan & Noel’s team.  €2 per envelope and 3 for €5.

Annaduff GAA Summer Camp – This years Kellogg’s summer camp will take place from the 8th to the 12th of July. Open to boys and girls aged between six and thirteen. First Holy Communion – There will be no underage training this Saturday the 11th of May on account of First Holy Communion. Junior A Championship Draw – Annaduff have been drawn into Group 1 for the Junior championship along with Kiltubrid, Glencar-Manor and St.Marys.

Saturday the 28th Annaduff V Louth team at 10:45 am. Quarterfinals will take place in the Sligo Centre of Excellence, Cup at 2:15 and Shield at 3:30. Both finals will be played in Pairc Sean Carrick on Shannon at 1:30 on Sunday the 30th. The very best of luck to the management and players this will be an exciting and busy weekend for all.

Annaduff Ladies – Well done to the Annaduff Senior ladies who had a great win over Drumkeeran on Sunday last in the second round of the league. Both teams were level at half time with 1-5 a piece but the Annaduff Girls produced a great second half performance to secure the points. Full-time score Annaduff 2-12 to Drumkeeran 1-10.

U14 Girls – The Annaduff girls had a great win over Bornacoola on Tuesday last on a Full-time score: Annaduff 2-07 to Bornacoola 1-08. The girls will now play Fenagh for a chance to get into the League cup final. Best of luck Girls.

Sponsored Cycle – Best of luck to all our cyclists as the take to the road to reach the Hyde. On Sunday May 12th when Leitrim play Roscommon in the Connacht Championship in Hyde Park, Roscommon we are going to cycle the 40 odd miles from Ballinamore to Roscommon. It is hoped that players, supporters, young and old will take part in what should be a great day’s craic. It’s not a race and you travel at your own pace with groups travelling at various times on that Sunday morning. Sponsorship cards are available now so we ask you all to please support.

Nursery, U9 and U11 – Our U11 and U9 players attended a very well organised blitz on Saturday out in Aughnasheelin. As ever we were made very welcome and all the players got lots of game time to showcase their skills, special thanks as ever to Aughnasheelin GAA for accommodating us and for the great refreshments at the end of the games. U9 and U11 training continuous each and every Monday evening at 19:00 in the pairc with the Nursery players out on Saturdays at 10am

The Big Hello – Cloone GAA hosted their community event for The Big Hello on Sunday the 5th. The event was a great success, made even better by the lovely weather. We enjoyed a walk on Bothar na Naomh followed by tea and refreshments in the Community Centre afterwards. Thank you to all who attended and helped to organise and run this gathering on the day. A special thank you to the Gardaí who joined us and brought medals for all of your underage participants. Well done to all.

Swan Bar Division 4 – The Juniors played out a very exciting draw with Cloone in Dromod on Saturday evening last. In a game in which the lead exchanged hands on a number of occasions a late Robert O Beirne point proved the crucial score as it tied the sides on 14 points apiece and ensured a deserved share of the spoils. LGFA Division 2 – Bornacoola/St Mary’s won their second match in ten days as they accounted for Glencar/Manorhamilton’s second string on Sunday morning last in Boggaun. The LGFA League Division 2 encounter finished on a 2-11 to 0-6 scoreline at the sunny North Leitrim venue. On an excellent playing surface, which is a credit to the home club, the girls were quick into their stride and held an early 1-2 to 0-1 advantage. The home side proved worthy opponents but with staunch defending were held to four points as the first half came to a conclusion with our girls holding a 2-7 to 0-4 interval lead. The second half was an end to end affair with respective defences keeping the majority of attacks at bay. At the conclusion, our girls still held sway shading the second half 0-4 to 0-2 to record a fine victory. With 2 wins from 3, they have three weeks to prepare for the last remaining fixture versus Mohill on May 26th.On duty on Sunday last were Caroline Guckian, Isabelle Chandler, Jasmine Maye, Enya Guckian, Ellen Woods, Lorraine Guckian, Hannah Reynolds, Alison McKeon, Kasey Bruen, Caoimhe McCrann (1-0), Elise Bruen, Rachel McGarry, Sarah Reynolds, Sara Crowe (1-2), Nadine Hackett (0-9). Sympathy – We offer heartfelt sympathy to the family of the late Father Felim Kelly retired P.P. Castlerahan, late of The Vale, Bailieborough, Co Cavan.  We extend our sympathies to Father Oliver Kelly who is his 1st cousin.  Father Felim was based in Newtownmanor as part of the Killasnett Parish in the 70s.  He played football with our club winning a Junior League and Championship double in 1971.  He also served as club chairman in 1971 and was a founding member of youth clubs in some of the parishes he served in.  We also offer sympathy to the family of the late Michael Conroy of Castle Street, Manorhamilton, who died peacefully at University Hospital Galway on 3rd May 2019 and the Fox family, Lisnabrack following the passing of Patricia Fox, Mountain View, Manorhamilton.  May They Rest In Peace.

U9 Blitz – Our young footballers had a great morning of fun and games in Kinlough on Bank Holiday Monday.  Many thanks to our hosts Melvin Gaels for the hospitality shown to us.

U14 Girls – The girls have a break from games this week with training taking place as normal.

Senior Ladies – Well done to the Senior ladies who recorded their 2nd win in the campaign at home to Dromahair while our Junior team played really well in defeat against Bornacoola/St Mary’s.  Both games took place in Boggaun.

Leitrim Ladies – Hard luck to the Leitrim Ladies Minor team who were defeated by Sligo in the Connacht C Final last Monday.  Our club was represented by Muireann Devaney, Leah Fox, Emma McLaughlin and Hannah Johnston.

Gaelic4Girls – This programme finished last Monday evening with great numbers in attendance for the last session in the Bee Park.  Many of the girls will now join our underage teams for the coming season.  Players can still register so if anyone is interested please contact Berni McMorrow on 0861234634.  Special thanks to the co-ordinator Berni McMorrow and the many coaches who made this such a resounding success.

Cúl Camp – The Manorhamilton camp will take place from July 1st to the 5th.  Further details for registering will follow shortly.

Tain Og League – Well done to the u13 hurlers who played St. Eunan’s on the 29th of April in the Táin league. Eunan’s were the much bigger team but the Leitrim boys didn’t let them dictate the game with the sides level at half time with the help of a wonder goal by Barry Loughlin. Eunan’s ran out winners in the second half. They played Belleek in their last game and enjoyed the experience.  They play Erne Gaels Belle away this coming Monday at 7pm.  Keep up the good work lads.
