Leitrim hosted neighbours Sligo in the last game of the FBD Group stages in Pairc Sean on Sunday last 31/1/10.  The game was very competitive and entertaining throughout with Sligo deserving of their victory at the end. 

There was very little between both sides in the first half and Leitrim went in at the break trailing by 2 points (0-8 to 0-6).  The home side got on level terms by the 46th minute but unfortunately this was to be their last score as they just faded towards the end of the game.  Sligo tagged on 3 late points and an added-time goal put more daylight between the sides at the final whistle.  Final Score Leitrim 0-9, Sligo 1-12.

Well done to Adrian Croal from the Glencar Manorhamilton Club who made his Senior debut as a second half sub bringing to 5 the total number of Leitrim debutants in the FBD League. During the FBD League 15 Clubs from Leitrim were represented on our Teamsheet and one each from Dublin, Kildare and London.
