Ladies – Congrats to St. Francis ladies on their one-point victory over Oughteragh Gaels last Sunday morning after a very entertaining game in very cold conditions. They warmed up well afterwards though!! Next game is against Mohill on 8th April.

Table Quiz – The ladies team are organising a table quiz in Lough Allen Hotel this Friday evening at 8pm. 40euro per table. There will be a raffle and door prize on the night. Please support.

Ladies – Well done to St. Francis ladies who took part in Comórtas Peile Paidí O Sé in Kerry at the weekend. They lost out in the semi-final to Borrishoole of Mayo. A great weekend had by all. Ladies Ready for the Kingdom – St. Francis ladies make the long trip to Kerry this weekend for the Paidí O Shea tournament, where they will stay in Dingle and compete against teams from Mayo and West Kerry in the group stage of the competition. Silver Medal for Micheal – Congratulations to Micheal Cornyn who won a silver medal at the 800m run at the Scottish indoor Masters Athletics Championships in the Emirates Arena Glasgow recently.

College success – Well done to Gerard Clarke who represented Ballyhaise and Oisín McGourty who represented Mountbellew in the recent Agricultural/horticultural All Ireland colleges final held in Longford recently. Congratulations to Gerard who was on the winning team and commiserations to Oisin. Great to see two players from the club represented.

Training – Training for the 2018 season got underway recently with our new manager Kevin Nolan. We wish Kevin and his selectors Noel and Colm the very best of luck for the year ahead! Last year’s league success has left us wanting more!!

Ladies – The ladies have been training hard over the last few weeks under their new management of Paul Martin and Gareth Smith. They’ve had a positive start to the season as they look forward to competing in the Paidí O Shea tournament in Kerry on the 17th February. They are the only Leitrim team represented in this year’s tournament. No doubt it will be a memorable weekend.
