Cumann na mBunscol Girls Final – congratulations to the girls from St Caillins National School who overcame St Hugh’s National School, Dowra the Cumann na mBunscol final.

Commiserations – to the Leitrim team who suffered defeat to Roscommon on Saturday evening last. Here’s hoping for a good draw in the All Ireland qualifiers scheduled to be played on Sat 23rd June.

Dunnes Bar Div 1 League – next game is on Sunday next at 12pm in Pairc Sean O’Laodain against Leitrim Gaels.

Westlink Coaches u15 League – Our u15 team are scheduled to travel to Kinlough on Friday evening next to play Melvin Gaels in the Shield Final. Throw in is at 6.30pm.
Paddy Collum u12 Longford Leitrim League – our u12 team begin their campaign on Thursday evening next with a trip to take on Dromahair, throw in at 7.30pm.
Swan Bar League Div 3 – Fenagh St Caillins played Carrigallen on Sunday morning last suffering a defeat on a scoreline of 2.20 to 1.15.
Car Wash – our annual car wash in aid of Fenagh St Caillins juvenile football teams will take place on Saturday next 2nd June in Fenagh Village from 11am to 5pm. Come along and get your car washed by our eager volunteers and support our future footballers.

Dunnes Bar Div 1 League – We hosted Glencar Manorhamilton in Pairc Sean O’Laodain on Saturday evening last in a game which gave our lads a taste of the level that’s required to compete at the top end of the division. Manor ran out winners on a scoreline of 2.22 to 0.10.

Swan Bar League Div 3 – We travel to Carrigallen on Sunday next for the next round of the league, throw in is at 12pm.

Westlink Coaches u15 League – There were mixed fortunes for our u15 team over the past week. They recorded their first victory of the campaign in Drumkeeran on Wednesday last winning 4.13 to 2.04. On Monday last they were defeated by the top team in the group, Dromahair by 4.14 to 3.06.

Juvenile football – Fenagh St Caillins u12 team travelled to Aughnacliffe on Saturday last to take part in the Colmcille GAA annual tournament. They played teams from Longford, Cavan and Leitrim in the 16 team event qualifying for the tournament final where they defeated Mullahoran to take the cup. Congrats to them and thank you to Colmcille GAA Club for the invitation and hosting a great event. On Monday evening our u11’s were hosted by Bornacoola GAA Club in the first blitz of the year and the team gave a very good account of themselves. Well done to Fenagh u10 girls team who enjoyed a successful trip to play in the Connacht Gaa Centre of Excellence on Saturday last.

Lotto – he lotto draw took place on Sunday night last in Quinns Bar. The jackpot was €2500. Numbers drawn were 4 1 8 2 3 7 5 6. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners on the night were Catherine McGovern, Dáire McKiernan and Calem Quinn. Yearly ticket holder winner of €20 was ROCA McLoughlin. Results – the Dunnes Bar Div 1 League resumed on Saturday evening last. Fenagh St Caillins took on Mohill in Pairc Philib Mhic Aongusa and the Fenagh lads produced a really strong performance to beat the hosts running out 2.13 to 1.11 winners. On Sunday morning in the Swan Bar League Div 3 Fenagh St Caillins travelled to take on Gortletteragh and got back to winning ways with a 5.15 to 2.12 victory. On Thursday last in the Westlink Coaches u15 League we hosted Melvin Gaels in Pairc Sean O’Laodain and an entertaining game ended all square on a scoreline of Fenagh St Caillins 3.13, Melvin Gaels 4.10.

Fixtures – on Saturday next in the Dunnes Bar Div League we host Glencar Manorhamilton in Pairc Sean O’Laodain at 7pm. On this Thursday 17th our u15’s travel to take on Drumkeeran in the Westlink Coaches League and on Monday 21st they host Dromahair in their final league fixture. Both these games throw in at 7.30pm. Fenagh NS boys team are away to Drumcong NS in Kiltubrid on Tuesday 15th at 6pm and they host Drumlease NS in Pairc Sean O’Laodain on Thursday next.

Results – in the Swan Bar League Div 3 game played on Saturday evening last we suffered defeat on a scoreline of Fenagh St Caillins 0-11, Glenfarne 4-13.

Fixtures – the Westlink Coaches u15 (13) League commences Tuesday 1st May away to Annaduff at 7.30pm.
Leitrim Teams – the Connacht Championship in both Minor and Senior commences this week. On Wednesday the minors head to Castlebar to face Mayo. Best wishes to the Leitrim team and the Fenagh St Caillins representatives Tom McKeon, Conall McGovern, Owen McLoughlin and selector Shane O’Rourke. Then on Sunday the eagerly awaited Senior game between Leitrim and New York takes place in Gaelic Park. Best wishes to the Leitrim team including Fenagh’s Donal Wrynn who captain’s the team, Ryan O’Rourke and also Alan Doonan and Dr Aoife Wrynn who are part of the backroom team. Also wishing all those supporters travelling a safe and enjoyable trip.
Lotto – the lotto draw will take place in the village over the bank holiday weekend. Sellers on duty for the next two draws are Killian McLoughlin, Niall Butler, Ray Greenan, Shane O’Rourke and Val Hargaden. Results – we suffered two defeats in games played on Saturday last. In the Newtowngore Engineering U17 Shield final we lost out to St Joseph’s on a scoreline of Fenagh St Caillins 3-07, St Joseph’s 4-13. In Swan Bar Div 3 we were defeated by Aughavas 4-13 to 0-05. On Monday evening the boys from Fenagh NS got their campaign off to a winning start with a win over Scoil Mhuire, Carrick.

Fixtures – in Swan Bar Div 3 we host Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher in Pairc Sean O’Laodain at 7pm on Saturday next. Our U15’s begin their Westlink Coaches League campaign on Tuesday next away to Annaduff at 7.30pm.

Weekends Results – in the first of the games played over the weekend there was disappointment when our u13 team suffered defeat in the 13 a side League final on a scoreline of Fenagh St Caillins 0-09, Annaduff 4-08. Congratulations to Annaduff. Match report elsewhere in this paper. The other two games played resulted in two victories for the Fenagh St Caillins men. In Div 1 we overcame Ballinaglera to win our first game of this years league, final score Fenagh St Caillins 3-07, Ballinaglera 0-10. Then on Sunday morning in Div 3 we had a win over Aughawillan by a scoreline of Fenagh St Caillins 1-14, Aughawillan 0-15.

Fixtures – Tuesday last u17’s played Mohill in the Shield semi-final, check Facebook/Twitter for result. On Saturday evening next in Div 3 we travel to take on Aughavas with throw in at 7pm.
Intermediate C’ship 2018 – the draws have been made for this year’s Championships and we have been drawn to play Ballinaglera, Cloone, Aughavas, Leitrim Gaels and Drumkeeran in Intermediate.
Lotto results – draw took place on Sunday night last in Quinn’s Bar. Numbers drawn were 8, 2, 1, 6, 4, 3, 7, 5. Results – In Div 1 Senior League Fenagh St Caillins were defeated by St Mary’s Kiltohert on Sat evening on a scoreline of Fenagh St Caillins 0-12, St Mary’s Kiltohert 3-08. Aaron Smith made his senior debut during the game, becoming the 5th player to do so in this year’s league. On Monday evening Fenagh St Caillins u13 team overcame St Brigid’s to qualify for the 13 a side League final. Final score Fenagh St Caillins 3-11, St Brigids 0-04. They now play Annaduff in the final. No date yet confirmed for this game.

Fixtures – the Div 1 Senior League continues on Sat eve next when Balinaglera visit Pairc Sean O’Laodain. Game throws in at 7pm. On Sun next our Div 3 team play the home team in Aughawillan at 12pm. Results from the weekend – Div 1 league game played in Gortletteragh on Sat evening saw Fenagh St Caillins recover from a slow start to take the lead in the dying moments only for Gortletteragh to snatch a draw with almost the last kick of the game. Final score Fenagh St Caillins 1.15, Gortletteragh 3.9. Fenagh had four players making their debut at this level and they all acquitted themselves well when they settled into the game. They were Mark Keegan, Kyle McNabola, Oisin McLoughlin and Conor Dwyer. In the u13 League, we travelled to Drumshanbo on Sun evening and were defeated by the home team, final score Fenagh St Caillins 1.07, Allen Gaels 6.08.

Fixtures this week – Wed u17 League Fenagh St Caillins v Leitrim Gaels in Leitrim at 6.30pm. Thurs u13 League Fenagh St Caillins v Drumkeeran in Drumkeeran at 6.30pm and on Sat next round 2 of senior Div 1 League sees Fenagh St Caillins head to Carrick to take on St Mary’s Kiltohert at 6.30pm.
Sam Maguire Cup – thanks to Alan & Sean O’Neill and Marie McGovern for arranging the visit of The Sam Maguire Cup to Fenagh on Thursday and Friday last. Marie visited many houses in the parish with the cup which was most appreciated. Sam was also present at our registration night and it was great to see so many of the children in the club getting to see it and even lift it. Thanks again to Marie, Sean and Alan.
Annual Lotto – most of the annual lotto tickets are expiring at the moment and club members are getting in touch with the holders regarding renewals. Anyone interested in getting an annual ticket with entry into all draws for 12 months for €50 can contact any club member or come along to the Club gym on Thursday evening next. Result from weekend our club only had one fixture this weekend and that was in Div 3 where we lost out to St Mary’s on a scoreline of Fenagh St Caillins 1-07, St Mary’s 2-14. Thanks to St Mary’s club for facilitating a change of venue at short notice. Our u13 team’s game was conceded by Glenfarne.

Fixtures – there are two fixtures scheduled for Saturday next 24th March. At 12pm in u17 league we play Sean O’Heslins and at 5pm in Div 3 league we play Allen Gaels. Both games are in Pairc Sean O’Laodain. No details yet on u13 fixture.

Results from weekend games – Both our u17 and Div 3 teams had good wins on Saturday last. The u17’s defeated Mohill 4-11 to 0-04 and our Div 3 team got their league campaign off to a winning start beating Annaduff 3-09 to 0-09. Well done to Kyle McNabola, Conor Dwyer, Aaron Smith, Oisin McLoughlin and Owen McLoughlin who made their adult debuts in this game and acquitted themselves very well. It was also great to see Shane Dwyer back on the field of play again. The u13 game scheduled for Sunday morning was postponed.

Fixtures for St Patrick’s Weekend – u17 game v St Joseph’s on St Patrick’s Day at 11am in either Aughavas or Carrigallen, Div 3 game v St Mary’s in Pairc Sean O’Laodain on Sunday at 12pm and the u13’s are scheduled to host Glenfarne on Bank Holiday Monday at 12pm.
Handball – Hard luck to Jarlath Scollan who lost out in his All Ireland Junior handball semi-final at the weekend.
Medal Presentation – The presentation of 2017 winners medals to our victorious u13 and u17 teams is rescheduled for Bank Holiday Monday next at 4pm. All-Star & multiple All Ireland winning Dublin player Ciarán Kilkenny will be the special guest.

National Club Draw – Unfortunately there were no local winners in the draw held recently, however congratulations to the Dromahaire and Mohill clubs on their winnings.
