The draw for the 2006 Tommy Murphy Cup was made this afternoon. Leitrim have received a bye to the quarter-finals and will play against the winners of the Tipperary/Waterford first round tie. The game is scheduled to be played on the weekend of 29th July.

It is intended that the Tommy Murphy Cup Final will be played in Croke Park on August 27th as the curtain raiser to the second Bank of Ireland All-Ireland football championship semi-final.
