Leitrim Coaching News

John Morrison from Armagh will present a coaching seminar on Saturday next, 19th February, in the Community School, Carrick-on-Shannon from 10am to 1pm.

The topic for this seminar will be ?Movement and Speed of Thought in Body & Mind?. This will be the only chance to hear from one of the best in the country this season, so clubs should ensure large numbers attend.

Our G.P.O.s will be in contact with Club officers this week to identify each Club?s Coaching Liaison Officer. Clubs must have a Coaching Liaison Officer in place by Friday 18th February.

Plans are underway to run an U-10 Club Blitz involving all clubs in the country over the Easter holidays. G.P.O.s will be in touch with Club personnel shortly to outline details.

Our 2005 Level One coaching course will commence on Friday 4th March and Saturday 5th March 05.

A number of workshops are being conducted throughout the province during the forthcoming months. The courses are being offered to everyone. If you wish to attend any of these courses just contact the County Coaching Officer Thomas Keenan at 071 9631120 (h) 043 24710 (w), or the Connacht Council Office at 094-9630335, or any Games Promotion Officer.

The Foundation Level course is also available to any club or alternative groups. This is the basic 8-10 hours coaching course suitable for coaching of Juvenile teams. We strongly urge all clubs to complete this course and ensure that every coach has the minimum qualification. This can be organised by contacting your County Coaching Officer or John Tobin, Connacht Games Manager at 094 9630335 or 087 4169500.
