Under 15 residential School.

10 footballers and 5 hurlers spent three days last week attending an under 15 residential school of excellence at N.U.I. Galway. Over the three days all players took part in various aspects of coaching and games development including resistance training, skills development and conditioned games. We would like to congratulate the following players on their performances both on and off the field over the three days. All players involved were a credit to their clubs, schools and most of all to their families. Well done lads.

Football. – Ronan Reynolds, Conor Farrell, Barry Tiernan, James Flynn, Gerald Percivel, Michael McManus, John Fanning, SeanÓgallagher, Patrick McHugh and Thomas Mulvey.

Hurling. – Tomas Glancy, John McDermott, Ronan Flynn, Conor O’Donnell and Fionnbarr Quinn.

Under 14 school of excellence trials.

Two trial evenings will take place next week for the under 14 football school of excellence. Monday evening next 30/06 in Cloone GAA grounds and Thursday evening next 03/07 in Drumkeerin GAA grounds. Both trials will commence at 7.30pm. Cormac Flynn from the St.Marys club will be in charge of this years school and can be contacted on 087-6787716. Cormac will be in contact with all clubs over the next few days.

Under 8 & 10 blitz club blitz.

The next series of games were not scheduled to take place till September but at the request of clubs we will organise a round of games for Saturday 12th July. The full list of games will be published in next week’s paper and will also be on the Leitrim GAA web site.

Vhi GAA Cul Camps 2008

Monday next 30/06 is the start of this years Vhi GAA cul camps and we hope everyone attending will have a great time. If you have not yet registered, please note that it’s still not too late to register.If parents don’t have a form they can download one from the GAA website www.gaa.ie. Return all forms to Thomas Keenan, Pairc Sean, Ck – on – Shannon, Co.Leitrim. List of camps for 2008 are as follows.

Monday 30/06/2008 – Manorhamilton, Ck-on-Shannon, Aughawillan.

Monday 07/07/2008 – Kinlough, Drumshanbo, Mohill.(Bornacoola GAA grounds)

Monday 14/07/2008 – Aughavas, Gortletteragh, Dromahair.

Monday 21/07/2008 – Fenagh, Drumkeerin, Leitrim.
