Coach Education Workshops

Coach education Workshops
Last weekend saw the commencement of our coach education season with a seminar on Friday evening and a workshop on Saturday morning. Mickey Moran and John MorrisonÓgave the presentation on Friday evening with John conducting the workshop on Saturday morning. On Friday evening both men outlined their views on coaching and the direction clubs in Leitrim should endeavour to follow to develop footballers of the highest quality.

On Saturday morning John MorrisonÓgave a powerful workshop on teaching skills using the Heads, Hands, Feet method. This method encourages the coach to make sure that the players Head, Hands & Feet are all in the correct alignment to execute the skill. The high catch proved a real winner with all in attendance. (see photos on web site)

The next of our workshops will take place on Saturday morning 06/12, commencing at 11.00 am. We will confirm the venue in next weeks coaching news and it will also be posted on the web site.

The games approach to skill development
