National Feile
Congrats to the Gortletteragh under 14 team who won a National feile title in Derry on Sunday last. Evan Ward completed a great weekend when he won the divisional skills award and went very close to winning the overall title loosing out in the final by a few points.

Development squads

Under 15
Training recommences on Monday next July 12th in Ballinaglera commencing at 7pm.

Under 16
Training continues on Saturday next in Kiltubrid at 10.30am in preparation for up coming games in the Fr. Manning & Ted Webb competitions.

Fr. Manning Cup.
The Fr. Manning Cup competition for our U-16 development squad will commence on Wednesday July 14th with games against Offaly & Westmeath and continue on Wednesday July 28th with games against Longford & Sligo in Longford Slashers Michael Fay Park commencing at 6.15pm. The following are bus routes and times for both dates.
Manorhamilton – Bee Park 4.15pm, Factory Turn 4.30pm, Drumkeerin 4.45pm, Drumshanbo 5.00pm, Ck-on-Shannon 5.15pm, Dromod – Bornacoola GAA pitch 5.30
Ballinamore – Square 5.00pm, Mohill 5.20pm, Dromod – Bornacoola GAA pitch 5.30

Ted Webb Blitz
The first round of the Ted Webb will take place on Saturday July 17th in Castlebar commencing at 12 noon, with the finals taking place on Monday August 2nd in Ballyhaunis. Travel arrangements next week.

National Blitz Day
National blitz day takes place on Saturday July 24th with our under 15 squad playing in Monaghan and our under 16 squad playing in Breffni 3G park in Cavan.

Hurling

GO GAMES U10/12 BLITZ
Thanks to everyone involved for helping out at the last U10/12 blitz in Manorhamilton on the 20th of June.
The next blitz is fixed for Kiltubrid on this Saturday the July 10th, again starting at 10.00am.

Please note the rearranged dates for the remaining club blitzes are as follows:
1. Saturday 24th July – Carrick
2. Saturday 14th August – Gortletragh/ Balinamore

Note: Again if clubs feel that they dont have enough numbers to field a full team on the day, please bring along whatever numbers you have so that we can mix up the teams to have a few matches between ourselves at least.

U14 CLUB SUPERTOUCH BLITZ
New dates fixed for the U14 Club blitz days are as follows:

1. Saturday 21st of August – Balinamore
2. Saturday 4th September – Carrick
3. Saturday 11th September – Manorhamilton

COUNTY under 14 School of excellence.
The U14 team took part in the Connaught Hurling Blitz in Carnmore, Galway on Saturday week last. They played three matches and competed well in all three, considering there were no players available from the Ballinamore club due to feile. Thanks to Pauric McWeeney and Patrick McGoldrick for taking the team over and looking after them for the day.

The squad will have a break until the 31st of August due to the U14 football championship taking place over the next few weeks.

COUNTY under 16 development squad
The first under 16 session is set for July 23rd. Full details next week

COUNTY MINOR TEAM
We are down to play Sligo in the first round of the minor championship next Saturday July 10th. Venue & time to be confirmed.

COUNTY U21 TEAM
The first round of the Connaught U21 championship is fixed for Monday August 2nd. We play Mayo with the game fixed for a Leitrim venue.

PAUDIE BUTLER COACHING WORKSHOPS
2nd date: 30th & 31st of July – U16 development squad training

In conjunction with the under 16 squad sessions, Paudi will conduct a foundation hurling course so we are asking all coaches to avail of this opportunity to complete the course. Coaches who have completed the football foundation course will only have to complete the practical part of the hurling course.
Again please make an extra effort to attend and get others to attend also as we seen from the last night that its a very enjoyable evenings training where everyone picks up small little things all the time.

Vhi GAA Cul camps.
Our Vhi GAA cul camps commenced this week with camps in Manorhamilton, Aughawillan and Ck – on – Shannon.
Next weeks camps will take place in Dromod (Bornacoola GAA pitch), Kinlough and Drumshanbo. Places are still available at all our camps.

Congratulations
The winner of the last free place on this years Vhi GAA Cul camps is Niamh OBrien, Rossan, Aughavas. Leitrim GAA would like to congratulate all the winners and thank all those who entered the competitions each week. Thanks again to the Leitrim Observer and especially John Connolly for running the competition each week.
