Under 16 Leitrim Championship –
Cluainin Iomaint travelled to Carrick last Thursday and won comfortably on a scoreline of 4.12 to 0.03.  The Manor men were slow to start with Carrick dominating possession for the opening ten minutes but were unable capitalise. The extra games Cluainin get in the Sligo league showed and their touch & striking was far superior to Carrick. Gavin O Hagans return from injury was a huge plus & he gave a tremendous display of hurling Scóring 1.09 from full forward. Karl McDermott scored 2.01 as he commanded mid field with partner Kieran McPartland who worked tirelessly. Damon Beattie scored 1.01 while the hard working Martin Feeney got a classy point from play. Evan Kerrigan showed some great skill while Ethan clancy, Fergus Munday & the formidable Loughlin brothers cleaned up in defence. Ballinamore were due to play Gortlettragh in the other side of the draw but this game didnt go ahead and it will be rescheduled at a later date.  
 
The Stephen Dorrigan under 13 hurling tournament will be played on Saturday the 6th of September in Ballinamore at 11am.  Carrick hurling club will be looking to retain the title they won last year when they bet Cluainin Iomaint last year.
 
Sligo hurling league u12s –  
Cluainin Iomaint play Naomh Eoin in the Sligo league final this Tuesday. They over came Coolera/Strandhill in a replay last week on a scoreline of 17 points to 6.  Michael O Brien scored an injury time free from his own half back line to force a replay two weeks ago.  Cluainin were at full strength for the replay and out classed the Sligo side with some excellent scores.  Conor Loughlin, Michael O Brien, Jack O Connell & Barry McNulty caught the eye while Vincent Sweeney made some fine saves inÓgoals. The final will be played on Tuesday 28th in Markievicz park at 7pm.
