Scór na nÓg Semi-Finals

Scór na nÓg is kicking off in the new year with the semi finals on January 4th & 5th.

Some slight changes to this years event, solo singers must accompany themselves, however a piano or keyboard is not permitted, songs are also extended to include the country of birth or origin of the competitor, this is also introduced in the ballad groups.

Léiríu is now replacing the novelty act entry, it advises groups to put together a drama depicting events from the history or mythology of ireland, it still however encourages clubs to include comedy, live music or dance in their performances.

Trath na gCeist will also be ran slightly differently, teams comprise of 4 members and the county champions will go through to an All-Ireland final rather then the previous provincal level.
