Ballinamore Club Notes – 11/9/17

Béal an Átha Móir Seán Ó hEislin

Senior Championship

It was another impressive victory on Saturday evening this time in Carrick with the lads up against Dromahair with a place in the Championship Semi Final at stake. The lads were very impressive again and built up a commanding lead going in with 15 points clear at half time, Dromahair to their credit improved in the second half scoring a goal and three points to leave the final score at 1:20 to 1:07

Next up for the lads will be match a mouth-watering clash against the winners of Aughawillian or Manor so either way it promises to be a great occasion for the club with an all-important place in the final up for grabs

Oughteragh Gaels 3-10 – Mohill Ladies 1-2
A massive congratulations to our ladies who went on to win the Intermediate Championship on Sunday in Pairc Sean, ensuring a welcomed return to the Senior ranks for the 2018 season. We got off to the fast start required and led by 2-6 to 0-1 at the break before Mohill repeated the trick in beginning the second spell with a quickfire 1-1 to bring the difference between the sides back to 7 points. Our team dug in afterwards, as they have done so many times before, adding 1-4 to their tally and thankfully got the rewards all of their hard work throughout the year merited. Next up, Manorhamilton in the League final on September 17th and then a date with the Galway Champions in Connacht on the 30th September or 1st October!
