Melvin Gaels GAA Club Notes 08/12/2017

Club AGM – There was a large attendance at the Club’s Annual General Meeting in the Community Centre on Sunday evening. The outgoing officers were re-elected as follows, Chairman Dessie Sheridan, Secretary. Mark Cleary and Treasurer, Katherine. Pat Gallagher has been elected as vice chairman, Larry Maxwell assistant treasurer and Helen Warnock PRO. The Chairman Dessie Sheridan gave a detailed report on the Club’s activities over 2017 and thanked everyone who helped the Club in any way.  He said a major development of Melvin Park is planned and that the Kinlough Development Company would be working along with the club in this venture. Kinlough Community Development Company having secured funds towards the improvement of Melvin Park in order to start the work. The Born na nOg secretary Catherine Regan gave a report on the work that has been done for the Underage boys and girls over the year. The Coaching Officer also gave on the progress of coaching over the year. Thanks to all who came along and good luck to all in 2018.

Senior Manager – The position of Senior Melvin Gaels team manager has become vacant. The Club is asking anyone interested in taking over the job to please contact the Club Secretary, Mark Cleary at 0863576413 or email markcleary48@gmail.com before Sunday, December 10th.

Cake Sale – The Club would like to thank everyone who supported the Cake Sale at Kinlough and Glenade last Sunday.

Scór na nÓg – Leitrim County Final Scór na nOg (Under 17) takes place on Sunday 10th December 2017 at 2.00pm. Venue to be confirmed.
