Aughawillan GAA Club Notes 10/04/2018

Division 1 –  Hard luck to the Senior Team who were defeated by Mohill last Saturday, Score: 2-11 to 11 points. They now play Glencar/Manorhamilton this coming Saturday 14th April at 7pm in Aughawillan. All support welcome and appreciated!

Division 3 – Best of Luck to the Junior Team who play Fenagh on Sunday 15th April at 12pm in Aughawillan.

Comhghairdeas – Aughawillan GAA would like to congratulate Jarlath Prior and Leanne Maguire who were recently married. We wish them many happy and healthy years together.

Dublin – Aughawillan Sponsored Cycle – All our cyclists have been on their bikes preparing for the 150km cycle from Castleknock back to Aughawillan and there are a number of fundraising events coming up in the next few weeks: ‘Dublin Aughawillan Diaspora & Friends’ night out in The Ferryman in Dublin on Saturday 14th April at 9pmThere will be members of the cycling team and the club executive present on the night. All welcome for an enjoyable social occasion for all.

Clothes Collection – Pat Joe McNiffe is holding a clothes collection in the weeks leading up to the Dublin-Leitrim cycle. Any old clothes, shoes, boots, wellies and curtains. No duvets or pillows can be accepted. Any clothes, shoes, etc can be dropped up to McNiffe’s house at any time with thanks in advance. We appreciate any and all donations and sponsorship that can be made to the cyclists and we ask that you support and encourage all 20 cyclists in any way possible as they prepare for the event in May. Corraleehan Parish Walk – Corraleehan Parish Walk continues each Thursday night at 8.30pm from Corraleehan Church. Community spirit, health, fitness, whatever your goals we will be happy to see you, everyone welcome.

Leitrim GAA Strategic Plan – Coiste Chontae Liatroma CLG is in the process of producing a Strategic Development Plan for the next three years.

As part of the consultation process, adult members of the GAA in Leitrim are being asked for their views under a number of headings. Every voice is important and this online survey is an important part of the consultation. So please give your views and opinions. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary.
