Ballinamore Sean O Heslin’s GAA Club Notes 18/07/2018

Dunnes ACL Division One – The chase for a place in the League final is hotting up with only two more rounds to play, after our victory against a battling Ballinaglera team on Saturday by a score of 1:12 to 1:09. The chance of reaching the final is now in our own hands, the next couple of matches will be difficult with a game first against Gortletteragh at home on Saturday at 1900 followed by a final match against Fenagh which again is a must win game. Hopefully as many of you as possible can get to the games to cheers the lads on.

Swan Bar ACL Division Four Final – Well done to our division 4 lads, they put in an excellent performance against Ballinaglera in the League final. It was a great match with nothing separating the teams in the closing minutes of the second half with opportunities for us to win it but alas it wasn’t to be and Ballinaglera were worthy winners at the end, well done to the Ballinamore players and management on a great run. Final score 1:10 to 1:13

U12 Girls Community Games Connacht Final – Hard luck to the excellent Leitrim U12 girls GAA team who lost narrowly after extra time to Drum Clonown Roscommon in the Connacht Final. They may not be Connacht champions, but they are certainly worthy Leitrim champions and did brilliantly to reach the final after beating Dunmore Galway in the semi-final.
Well done to Patrick, Barbra & Sean for their commitment, time, skill and energy in bringing the girls to the finals. Special well done to our own Ballinamore players Romy McAllister, Sinead Martin, Thiana Regan, Niamh Christy, Lucy Murphy, Aisling Maguire and Ellen McTague

Dunnes Bar ACL Division Two – Last week’s match was cancelled, the lads are now in action on Wednesday evening away to Bornacoola at 20:00, followed by a match against Carrigallen on Sunday at 12:00

Newtowngore Engineering Under 17 Championship – Well done to our Under 17 lads who had an excellent victory on Wednesday night in the championship in Ballinamore running out worthy winners against St Josephs, with a final score of Ballinamore 6:16 to 4:04. Next up for the lads is a match against Drumkeerin on Monday evening at 1930

Barna Recycling U13 Championship – The u13 championship started last Thursday night with our players earning an excellent draw against Gail Na Meilge. Next up for the lads is a match this Thursday evening against St Bridgids at 1930 in Ballinamore.
