Medal Presentation – Well done to our championship winning u14 girls team who were presented with their medals by Leitrim Stars Dean McGovern and Ryan O’Rourke on Monday evening in the Páirc, it was a great evening for the team and their families and special mention to the management team of Brid and Celia for organising the event and of course to all those who helped with the refreshments and made the evening a success. So a big well done to the team of Aoibhinn Keegan, Ella van Der Laan, Kellie Beirne, Emma Honeyman, Mollie Murphy, Lucy Murphy, Lizzie O Connell, Hannah Mullen, Ava Gallogly, Teagan McGloin, Aisling Maguire, Laura Maguire, Chloe Murray and Emma McKiernan

Scor Na Og – Well done to Our Táath na gCeist team of Eoin Connaughton, Bernard Sweeney, Lizzie O’Connell and Brian Sweeney who took part in the All Ireland final at the weekend, the team put in a fantastic display and are a credit to the club. Special thanks to the team, their families and also to Brid and Sean for assisting and coaching these fine young people. Well done also to the winners Cornafean

Under Age Boys Matches – Folks our new underage amalgamation with Kiltubrid GAA is now up and running with the u13 boys in action on Saturday and Sunday last weekend putting in a good display in both games against Allen Gaels and Annaduff. The u17 lads were also in action on Sunday where they defeated Mohill in their opening league campaign. We would like to thanks the players and mentors for all the work they have done the last few weeks in getting ready for the season. From next week in the Leitrim Observer you will be able to follow the club news for this new amalgamation in its own section under MacDiarmada Gaels, you can also follow the new Facebook page for information.

Leitrim Supporters Club Tickets – Folks Leitrim Supporters draw tickets are now on sale from club members, this is a fantastic opportunity to support the county and also to win some fantastic prizes. Your support would be greatly appreciated

Comhbhrón – It’s with deep sadness that we hear of the passing of Margaret Sweeney Tullyoscar. All at the club would like to pass on our deepest sympathies to Eamonn, Nuala, Muire, David, Margaret’s grandchildren Mark, Niall, Niamh, Brian, Lochlainn & Sadhbh and all her family and friends at this difficult time.

‘Ireland Lights Up – Ballinamore Lights Up – There was a great crowd at the pitch last Thursday evening for operation transformation and we hope everyone can brave the cold and make it again this Thursday! Everyone is welcome, no matter what your fitness level or whether you want to run, walk or jog or to just meet with your friends for a chat

Clubrooms Historical Display – It is planned to put up a permanent display of photographs and memorabilia relating to the club in the clubrooms. Apart from photos, this could include old jerseys, programmes or any items relating to club players or successes in past years in football, hurling, Scór nó aon rud eile. Cúl Camps Venues 2019 – This years camp will be in Ballinamore from July 1st to the 5th, this is a great camp for all the children and further details for registering will follow shortly

Redevelopment of Ballinamore Hall – The redevelopment of Ballinamore Hall is starting soon and everyone is invited to the hall on Wednesday the 27th of February at 8.30pm

On the night there will be refreshments, speakers and a presentation of the plans for the hall, incorporating the new Island Theatre.
