Mohill GAA Club Notes 21/05/2019

GAA Fundraiser – I’m a Celeb get me out of here’ fundraiser in Lough Rynn Castle is just around the corner and there is great demand on seats for the night of June 2. Tickets are on sale in Baxters Centra, Stensons Gala, Paul’s Newsagent and any club officer. This will be a fun night for the audience, the brave competitors may not think it’s that funny, but it’s all for a good cause. Get your tickets fast

This Week’s Events – Over the next two weeks, the entrants will be running various events. On Saturday Ryan Bohan is running a five-a-side soccer tournament in Mohill Sports Complex, any group interested contact Ryan at 0851532045. John Farrell is selling squares with big prizes on offer for €10. Ciaran Baxter is organising bag packing in Centra on Friday. On Saturday night in Spirit Bar Bridget McKenna is having a Ladies Eighties Night. Every woman in Mohill and beyond is welcome. There will be eighties music and dress optional.

Lotto Results – There was no winner of the Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 2-15-29-30. Lucky dip winners were €70 Gerry Moran Drumrahill, €40 Roisín Keegan Drumboy. €20 Tom McManus McLoughra.

Westlink Coaches Under 15 – The Under 15 most of whom have a year or two left at this age group are playing their games with great gusto but will have better days ahead. Last week they played St Brigids and Fenagh in Mohill and this week they play McDiarmada Gaels on Thursday in Mohill and travel to Dromahaire on Friday.

Dunnes Bar Div 2 – Our second string drew with a lively Aughavas on Sunday last, in a very competitive fast game. Great to see Ronan Gallagher back playing after his surgery. The scorers were: R Gordon 0-5, F McGuinness 0-4, R Gallagher 0-2, E Harkin 0-1, J Boyle 0-1

Thanks to all – Celeb entrants Laura Gilheaney and Big Stuff would like to thank all who went to their Tea Party on Friday night and Valerie Beck was delighted with the crowd that turned up for her fundraising Bingo on Sunday evening.

Fashion Show – Joseph Conboy wishes to thank everyone who supported his Fashion Show fundraiser hosted in Nitelinks by Seán and Anella on Sunday last. The DJ and stage manager for this spectacular event was Keelan Murphy. Keelan did so much work behind the scenes and an amazing job on the night so a special word of thanks to him. A very talented young lady Elisa started the show with a beautiful dance routine. We thank the local businesses for showcasing their fashions, Gerard Anthony, Sinead B Millenary, Menary’s, Padadee Bridal, Silk and Wolf, Special thanks to Icons Hair, Harriette, her team, Michael, Sinead Bohan and Sinead McCrann, Kali, April, Tracey and Shania. The amazing makeup and Fantasy hairstyles would rival anything at a leading fashion week. Thanks to all the ushers and models and MC Ann McGuinness who did a fantastic job.
