Club Awards – Our Club Awards for 2018 were presented recently after the St Stephen’s Day Charity Match.  Senior Player of the Year Emmet Mahon, Junior Player of the Year Shane Meehan and Club Person of the Year Barra MacThiarnan.  Well done to all the winners.
 
St Stephen’s Day Charity Match – Well done to all Players, Management and Supporters who turned out for our recent Annual St Stephen’s Day Charity Match.  Scores were a plenty with Tony Redican securing victory for the Highlanders with a neat Penalty despite the best efforts of the Lowlanders Pat McWeeney in Goals.  A Donation of over €800 was made to the Fund setup for the family of the late Gregor Zelais, Keshcarrigan.
Man in the Middle – Congrats to Derek and  Mary Moran, Drumcong on scooping the recent Aughnasheelin GAA Club Lotto just before Christmas.  Derek was the as ever obliging man in the middle for our recent St Stephen’s Day Charity Match.

Poker Night – Kesh Astro Pitch Development – A Texas Holdem Poker Night will be held this Friday 11th January in Gerties Bar, Kesh at 9pm with €20 Entry.  All funds raised will go towards the Kesh Astro Pitch Development.
AGM – A well attended AGM took place last Friday 14th December.  Chairperson Emmet Mahon addressed the Meeting and spoke about the great progress made in 2018 with an eye to building on this progress in 2019.  Secretary Sheila Guckian detailed the busy year of Club Activities throughout 2018 on and off the field.  Out-going Treasurer Eoin Meehan delivered healthy Financial Accounts for both Club and Park Accounts for 2018.  Officers returned for 2019:  Chairperson Emmet Mahon, Secretary Sheila Guckian, Treasurer Dermot McKeon, Asst Treasurers Kevin Nealon & Eoin Meehan, Registrar Vincent Lee, Development & Insurance Officer PJ Meehan, Cultural Officer Maria Fallon, Park Bookings Kealen McKeon and IT Officer Eoin Meehan.
St Stephen’s Day Charity Match- Our Annual Charity Match will take place on Wed 26th Dec in Pairc Cill Tiobraid.  This is a great opportunity for all players past and present to burn off the Christmas Dinner Calories and raise money for a worthy cause.  Full details on the Match will be on Facebook and Twitter in the next few days.

Kiltubrid Lip Sync Legends – With a packed Landmark Hotel the Kiltubrid Lip Sync Legends lived up to its hype with a hugely enjoyable and entertaining night.  The variety of Acts that took to the stage showed the Weeks of hard work in rehearsals that were put in. All Acts were a credit to themselves last night and over the last few weeks.  Well done to the winner Kevin Meehan who really made “The Greatest Showman” Act his own and the crowd reacted wildly!!  The Acts were entertained in turn by our Judges and as always professional MC John Lynch  The night itself could not have happened without a strong organizing committee who worked selflessly over the last few months.  A full report on the night will be in next weeks Leitrim Observer.

Un15 – Our Un15 Lads finished off the 2018 season with defeated to Annaduff in the Shield Final.  Both teams served up an exciting battle in very tough conditions.  Well done to all Players, Mentors and Parents for their efforts.  Many thanks to Gerties Bar, Kesh for providing after match refreshments.

Quiz Night – Steven Guckian and Maria Quigley are hosting a Quiz Night Fundraiser for their Lip Sync Legends Event Act this Friday 9th November at 9pm in the Sheemore Inn, Kilclare.

Kids Halloween Party – After a lot of scares, laughs and craic, the kids Halloween party finished up as a very enjoyable night for both young and old!  A big thank you to everyone who came and supported the event on the night. And lastly well done to all who helped organize this night in any way big or small. The Pumpkin Carving Competition had lots of entries with Rose Gannon’s the winning entry and she gets 2 Tickets to the Scare on High Street kindly sponsored by An Tostal Festival Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Kids Halloween Party – What’s now becoming an annual event due to popular demand we will be holding the Kids Halloween Party next Monday 29th October from 5pm – 7pm in Pairc Cill Tiobraid.  Scary Music, Ghoulish Games, Devlish Treats, Frights & Delights!!   Something for all Kids Big & Small Indoor and Outdoor on the evening. Face Painting, Kids & Adult Fancy Dress, Kids Art Exhibition, Pumpkin Design Competition, Food/Drink, Music and Football.  Everyone attending is encouraged to bring a small selection of treats for sharing on the night. Scary Kesh Feis – Keshcarrigan and surrounding areas are becoming a mecca at the moment for Scarecrows with some great entries so far.  With a Bank Holiday weekend full of Activities in Keshcarrigan for young and old it sure to be a weekend not to be missed.  On Saturday 27th October there will be a Scary Fun & Games for Big and Smalls Kids from 6pm in Gerties,  Scarecrow Exhibition from 7.30pm in the Village followed by a Fancy Dress Party from 9.30pm in Rockin Mollies for the bigger Kids.  On Sunday 28th October there will be a Zombie Party in Gerties from 8.30pm.  On Monday a Motions, Potions & Slime Making Event will take place in Rockin Mollies from 2pm – 4pm.

County Final Day Reps – Well done to our Young Players Sam Conroy and Oran McWeeney who lead the two senior teams in the Co Final Parade behind our own Kiltubrid Pipe Band.

U12 Skills Competition Well done to our Un12 Boys who competed in the Connacht Skills Competition last Friday after qualifying from the County Finals recently in 3rd Place. Members of the Skils Squad were Darragh Lee, Jack Keaney, Cian McCormack and Fionann McKeon.

Joe Flynn Tournament Our Un12 Boys took part in the in the Joe Flynn Tournament last weekend. They played Drumkeerin, Castlebar Mitchells (Mayo) and Corofin (Galway) before losing out to Kilmore (Roscommon) in the Semi Final. Thank you to the St Mary’s Club for the Invitation to take part and well done on a very well organised Tournament.

U15 We play Annaduff next Saturday 13th October at 12noon in Kiltubrid.

Junior Championship  Well done to Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher on their Junior Championship win over Glencar/Manorhamilton last weekend.  A great boost for a Club and Community who’ve got a just reward for their efforts after a turbulent few years.
