Senior Championship – Aughawillan: Leitrim SFC Champions 2018! Congratulations & well done to all the players, management and backroom team who brought the Fenagh Cup back to Aughawillan for the 3rd time in 5 years! It was a massive achievement for the club who were the underdogs to beat one of the best teams in the county. With Mohill in the lead into the second half, they held their nerve and came out winners by 2 points, for captain Sean Quinn to lift the cup. Congratulations to Gary Plunkett who was Man of the Match and scored 5 points on the day. Aughawillan GAA would like to thank all the supporters from far and wide who sent good luck messages to us in various forms over the past couple of weeks from all over the world! With only a few days to go, there is plenty of blue & yellow and lots of artwork to be seen in all corners! A big thank you to all those who came to the pitch on Sunday and took the opportunity to offer support & encouragement. The blue team, captained by Rory McTague, emerged victorious on the day with Conor McGovern winning Young Player of the Game & Shane Flanagan winning Senior Player of the Game.
