Dunnes Bar Division 1 – Well done to our senior team on their victory over St. Mary’s in division 1 on Sunday morning. It was great to see the hard work paying off for the lads and the management team. They played with great heart and determination throughout the game. With the same work rate and attitude, we can look forward to more victories in the coming weeks. Keep up the good work. On a side note there are two club jerseys missing since Sunday, please check your bags and return them.

Leitrim – Good luck to Leitrim this Saturday in Carrick on Shannon as they take on Roscommon in the championship semi-final.

Speedy recovery – We wish John Flynn a speedy recovery from a recent injury. John is always a great help to the club when needed to record games. His selfless commitment and time are much appreciated and we hope he is back on his feet very soon.

Ladies – Hard luck to St. Francis ladies who lost out to Oughteragh Gaels by 3.9 to 1.9 in the div 2 league final last Saturday evening. The ladies put in a hard-working performance and led by one point at the break. Unfortunately, they were unable to get the scores they needed in the second half to claw back the concession of two second-half goals. They left everything on the pitch and tried their best till the very end. We wish them the best of luck as they dust themselves down and prepare for the championship. Well done to Oughteragh Gaels on their victory. A big thank you to everyone who came and supported the girls. Thanks also to Scollans Gala for the lovely meal after the game.

Dunnes Bar Seniors – Hard luck to the senior team as they lost out to Melvin Gaels on Saturday evening. The lads are training hard and we’ve no doubt a win in division 1 will come soon for them. Keep up the hard work. Best of luck on Sunday as they play St. Mary’s in Ballinaglera at 12 o clock.

Condolences – The club would like to extend our sincere sympathy to Susan Gilmartin and her family of Stranagarvana on the recent death of her sister Josie Niland who died recently in London. May she rest in peace.

Ladies – Well done to St. Francis ladies who had a good win over Manorhamilton last Friday evening. They’re now preparing for the league final on Sat 12th May. Best wishes to the team and management. Wedding Bells – Congratulations to club player Hugh Gilmartin who married Amanda Dunnion last Saturday in Donegal. The club would like to wish Hugh and Amanda a long and happy life together.

Ladies – Well done to St. Francis ladies who took part in Comórtas Peile Paidí O Sé in Kerry at the weekend. They lost out in the semi-final to Borrishoole of Mayo. A great weekend had by all.
