Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher GAA Club Notes 13/12/2017

AGM – We held our AGM on Saturday 2nd December which was well attended by footballers and members. There were comprehensive reports given by Anthony, Éilis and a detailed treasurer’s report presented by Assumpta. The following officers were elected for 2018: Chairman: Anthony Clancy, Secretary: Micheal McLoughlin, Assistant Secretary/PRO: Éilis McGourty, Treasurer: Anthony Clancy, Registrar: Tommy McManus, Youth Officer/Coaching Officer: Joe Cullen, Healthy Club Officer: Robbie Broughton, Scor officer: Assumpta Clancy, Footballers representative: Jamie Kiernan Other committee members:  Sean McDermott, Joe Keaney, Seamus McSharry, Seamus Dolan, Siobhan Reidy, Michael McGuire, Brian Fox.

St. Stephen’s Day Walk – We are organising the annual St. Stephen’s Day Walk in the woods in Glenfarne at 12noon. More details to follow next week.

Lotto – Our monthly lotto draw took place recently. Numbers drawn were 14, 20, 23 & 36. No winners of the jackpot. Consolation prizes went to Fr. John Quinn, Glenfarne & Laura McDermott, Cullentra. Thanks to all those who purchased tickets.

AGM – Our Annual General Meeting takes place on Saturday 2nd December in The Rainbow at 8:30pm. We hope to see all our footballers, old and new supporters along with those who have an interest in the club attending.

Underage – We will be presenting our U8s & U10s with their new training tops on Friday at half 6 in The Rainbow! All supporters & Parents of da kids are welcome 2 attend!

Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher GAA Club Notes 13/11/2017

Lotto – Numbers from our September monthly draw were 4, 11, 27, 30. No winner of the jackpot. 1st Consolation Prize €20 Clement Maguire, Glenfarne 2nd Consolation Prize €10 Padraig McGourty, Lissinagroagh. Numbers from our October monthly draw were 1, 23, 26, 33.  There was no winner of the jackpot. Consolation prizes were Sean McDermott, Mullaun & Noel Scott, Sligo. Thanks to all those who have purchased tickets especially our annual draw tickets. Anyone wishing to purchase an annual lotto ticket for the club can contact any of our committee members.

Strictly Come Dancing – The club would like to thank the organizing committee of strictly come dancing which took place over 2 nights on the October Bank Holiday Weekend. They organised a wonderful weekend of great entertainment. Thanks to all those who supported the event. This was a great community event and we hope you all enjoyed it. A huge thank you to the volunteers who helped out before, during and after the shows. Of course, this would not have happened if we did not have our dancers. A huge thank you to all our dancers who gave of their time to practice since the beginning of September. We are truly indebted to you for giving your time and support to us and to the National School and the Rainbow. We hope the dancers are enjoying the rest!

Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher GAA Club Notes 16/10/2017

Baby News – Congratulations to Siobhan and Stephen Sweeney, Glenfarne on the recent birth of their baby girl Aoife and to Sean and Alaine McLoughlin, Manorhamilton on the birth of their baby girl Gwen.
Engagement – Everyone involved with the club congratulates club stalwart Michael McGuire and Paula Kelly on their recent engagement.
Strictly Come Dancing – The club in conjunction with St. Michael’s National School & Glenfarne Development are running Strictly Come Dancing in The Rainbow Ballroom of Romance on the 28th & 29th October. The club has a number of representatives most notably adult footballer Tommie McManus, U13 Manager Ian Cullen and club secretary Éilis McGourty. We hear preparations are going well for all participants who hail from Blacklion, Belcoo, Manorhamilton, Dromahair and of course Glenfarne and Kiltyclogher. Tickets are €15 and are available from all footballers, committee members and from Clancy’s in Glenfarne, McGriskins Kiltyclogher & The Market House Craft Shop in Blacklion.
