100K in May for Manor GAA – The ladies started their 100k for May campaign on May Day with a “leisurely” 5k stroll around Manorhamilton. You can join our fundraising drive for the new pitch development anytime through the https://www.facebook.com/groups/100KinMayforManorGAA/ page or drop an email to secretary.glencarmanorhamilton.leitrim@gaa.ie for more details. And don’t forget you can pledge a few euro towards our efforts by taking a line or two on the sponsorship cards in the shops around town. Ag siúl le chéile.

Sympathy – We offer heartfelt sympathy to the family of the late Father Felim Kelly retired P.P. Castlerahan, late of The Vale, Bailieborough, Co Cavan.  We extend our sympathies to Father Oliver Kelly who is his 1st cousin.  Father Felim was based in Newtownmanor as part of the Killasnett Parish in the 70s.  He played football with our club winning a Junior League and Championship double in 1971.  He also served as club chairman in 1971 and was a founding member of youth clubs in some of the parishes he served in.  We also offer sympathy to the family of the late Michael Conroy of Castle Street, Manorhamilton, who died peacefully at University Hospital Galway on 3rd May 2019 and the Fox family, Lisnabrack following the passing of Patricia Fox, Mountain View, Manorhamilton.  May They Rest In Peace.

U9 Blitz – Our young footballers had a great morning of fun and games in Kinlough on Bank Holiday Monday.  Many thanks to our hosts Melvin Gaels for the hospitality shown to us.

Congrats Merenda – Congratulations to the Haslette family and all the staff in Merenda, on winning the All Ireland Summit Manufacturing Business 2019 Awards in Croke Park.

Car Wash – Sincere thanks to all who supported and helped out at our joint fundraising car wash with Manorhamilton Rangers AFC last Saturday.  Special mention to John Mullin of Mullins Foodstores Manorhamilton for his sponsorship.

Adult Fixtures and Results – Hard luck to our Junior team who were defeated by Ballinamore at home on Saturday evening.  They play St Mary’s away this Saturday at 7pm.  Good luck to the team and management.

U15 Boys – Good luck to our U15 boys in the third round of the Westlink Coaches League Division 1 league against St Mary’s in Carrick this Thursday at 7pm. Please support

U14 Girls – The girls have a break from games this week with training taking place as normal.

Senior Ladies – Well done to the Senior ladies who recorded their 2nd win in the campaign at home to Dromahair while our Junior team played really well in defeat against Bornacoola/St Mary’s.  Both games took place in Boggaun.

Leitrim Ladies – Hard luck to the Leitrim Ladies Minor team who were defeated by Sligo in the Connacht C Final last Monday.  Our club was represented by Muireann Devaney, Leah Fox, Emma McLaughlin and Hannah Johnston.

Gaelic4Girls – This programme finished last Monday evening with great numbers in attendance for the last session in the Bee Park.  Many of the girls will now join our underage teams for the coming season.  Players can still register so if anyone is interested please contact Berni McMorrow on 0861234634.  Special thanks to the co-ordinator Berni McMorrow and the many coaches who made this such a resounding success.

Cúl Camp – The Manorhamilton camp will take place from July 1st to the 5th.  Further details for registering will follow shortly.

Tain Og League – Well done to the u13 hurlers who played St. Eunan’s on the 29th of April in the Táin league. Eunan’s were the much bigger team but the Leitrim boys didn’t let them dictate the game with the sides level at half time with the help of a wonder goal by Barry Loughlin. Eunan’s ran out winners in the second half. They played Belleek in their last game and enjoyed the experience.  They play Erne Gaels Belle away this coming Monday at 7pm.  Keep up the good work lads.
