INTERMEDIATE LADIES: Bornacoola/St Mary’s won their second match in ten days as they accounted for Glencar/Manorhamilton’s second string on Sunday morning last in Boggaun. The LGFA League Division 2 encounter finished on a 2-11 to 0-6 scoreline at the sunny North Leitrim venue. On an excellent playing surface, which is a credit to the home club, the girls were quick into their stride and held an early 1-2 to 0-1 advantage. The home side proved worthy opponents but with staunch defending were held to four points as the first half came to a conclusion with our girls holding a 2-7 to 0-4 interval lead. The second half was an end to end affair with respective defences keeping the majority of attacks at bay. At the conclusion, our girls still held sway shading the second half 0-4 to 0-2 to record a fine victory. With 2 wins from 3, they have three weeks to prepare for the last remaining fixture versus Mohill on May 26th.
