The Leitrim Launch of Feile Peil na nÓg was a huge success on Wednesday evening in a packed Orchard Room in the Bush Hotel.

The event commenced with the arrival of the young Feile representatives from each of the Host clubs from Leitrim, Sligo and Roscommon. Tommy Moran was MC for the night and provided much entertainment throughout the evening. Entertainment of a musical and dancing variety was provided by the Ward Sisters from Aughnasheelin. A slide show of Images and Information relating to Feile was also included in the evenings programme.

There were many dignitaries speaking at the event throughout the course of the evening including Feile Committe members, Chairpersons of Leitrim County Boards, Sponsors Coca Cola, Connacht Council and the National Feile Executive. The Ladies President Geraldine Giles spoke about the importance of Feile for our youth and its importance as a GAA event.

Two player representatives, Sandra Butler and Joseph O Rourke both from St. Marys recited the Feile Players Charter.

The final speaker of the night was Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Nickey Brennan who made his address and declared Feile na nÓg 2007 officially launched. The final event was the ceremonial cutting of the cake by players Sharon McGowan Bornacoola and John McDermott from St. Marys.

The final round of school visits is performed today (Friday) in the Roscommon area with both Presidents available to address the Feile players in various venues throughout the day.
