Championship  –  Co final day is almost here and the preparations are going good  – lads, you have lifted the heart and soul of our Parish and everyone wishes you  the best of luck on Sunday in Pairc Sean with game starting at 1 30 – a big go raibh maith agaibh to all who helped with turning our Parish green and white and for all the support over the past week.

Under 12’s – Comhghairdeas to St Bridgets who had a great win in the Shield final  when they played Ballinamore on Friday eve last in Aughnasheelin , we were represented by Dearbhla Gunn, Riona McTeigue,  Lily Mahon, Caoimhe Cullen (who is joint captain), Aoibhinn Meehan,  Eadaion McTeigue, Emer Murphy and Kayleigh Hudson and well done to Barbara Gunn who is one of their trainers well done girls on your great commitment to training all year.  Under 14 girls have a final coming up next – more details later.  Under 17 lads had a good win on Saturday over Rynn Gaels and wishing a speedy recovery to the young Rinn Geals player who was injured.  Under 17’s play St Josephs on Saturday next at 12 a venue to be decided.  Oughteragh Gaels were beaten on Sunday in their game in Ballyhaunis – well-done girls on winning the Intermediate championship in Leitrim.  Under 10’s finished up their outside training for the year but they hope to recommence training in the Sports Hall later in the year – more details later –  Our Senior players joined them on Saturday morning to the delight of our younger players great to see you there lads.  Go raibh maith agaibh to the ladies who provided the refreshments for all after the training.

On Friday night our new Lights were switched on and our lads had their first training session under them – they are a great job – you’d think we had an Airport now in Achadh na Sileann.

Achadh ná Síleann Abú

Championship  –  Well after almost 10 years of hard work sweat and disappointments we are back in the Intermediate Final on Sunday, October 8th in Pairc Sean on Sunday, October 8th when we play Leitrim Gaels.  Comhghairdeas to Management and players and all involved with the team  – not just those who were on the pitch but to the whole panel who have put in such a huge effort over the past year and the last few years.  On Sunday we defeated Carrigallen on a scoreline of 1 16 to 10 points – this was a great overall performance and everyone played their part – best of luck with the preparations for the final.

Club Colours  –  As you all know we are now in the County Final on Sunday week – the Club will be selling Flags and Bunting which will be available at the Club Rooms on Saturday morning  11 am after underage training and over the week so make sure to get your colours flying and get behind our Team.

Best of luck to Oughteragh Gaels who are representing Leitrim in the Intermediate championship in Connacht on Sunday next – they play Moycullen at 12 30 in Ballyhaunis GAA Pitch, extra time if needed so everyone that can please get to Ballyhaunis to support our girls.
