Important note to members of the U14 school of excellence:

The coaching session for the under 14 school of excellence will take place in Ballinamore Sean OHeslins GAA (Training grounds) on Saturday morning next at 10.00am.

Development squad coaching sessions

Starting on Monday last and continuing on Friday & Monday next, John Morrison will conduct coaching workshops for each of our development squads. These sessions are concentrating on technique and skill development along with tactical awareness. Club coaches are very welcome to attend any of these sessions. See details of sessions below.

 

Under 14 School of excellence

This squad will travel to Castlebar on Saturday next to take part in a blitz. Not all members of the panel will travel as only on team are entered, however all lads who dont travel on Saturday will be travelling to Sligo on Saturday September 12th for a blitz.

Bus times as follows for Saturday next. Travelling players not on the direct bus route should meet the bus at the Bush hotel car park

Under 15 School of excellence

John Morrison will conduct a coaching session for the under 15 squad on Friday morning next in Leitrim Gaels GAA grounds, commencing at 10.00am. This session will concentrate on technique & skill development and will not be a physical training session. All players are asked to bring a tennis ball to the session and to ensure they have their own water bottle. Any players injured at present are asked to attend as they can observe from the sidelines. Bus times and routes as follows

Ballinmore 9.00, Mohill 9.15, Masonite 9.25, Ck – on – Shannon 9.35, Leitrim 9.45.

Manorhamilton 9.00, Factory turn 9.10, Drumkeerin 9.15, Drumshanbo 9.35, Leitrim 9.45.

 

Under 16 Development squad

On this Wednesday evening 19/08 our under 16 squad will contest the Fr. Manning shield final against Offaly at the Longford Slashers GAA grounds in Longford, commencing at 6.00pm, All support would be very welcome.

Under 14 School of excellence

All players in this grade please note that their will be either a coaching session or a game over the weekend in preparation for the Sean Purcell tournament inÓgalway on Saturday week August 22nd. For more details players are asked to check the Leitrim GAA web site or contact Mark Heslin 086 – 3607370.

 

Under 15 School of excellence

Due to both Minor and U-16 club competitions our under 15 squad have a free weekend.

 

Under 16 Development squad

Today (Wednesday) our under 16 squad will take part in the Fr. Manning cup tournament at the Longford Slashers GAA grounds in Longford. Our first game is against the host county Longford, commencing at 6.30pm, followed by a game against Offaly at 7.15pm. All support would be very welcome.

Under 14 School of excellence

Our under 14 School of excellence will play Roscommon on Tuesday evening next in Kilbride GAA centre commencing at 6.30pm. All players are asked to please note following bus routes and times. Manorhamilton 4.35, Factory turn 4.45, Drumkeerin 4.55, Drumshanbo 5.15, Leitrim 5.25, Ck – on – Shannon 5.30, Kilbride 6.15.

There is no session this weekend for this squad but a full list of dates will be published in next weeks news.

Under 16 Development squad

Next session for our under 16 development squad will take place on Monday 03/08 in Ballinaglera GAA grounds commencing at 10.30am. Full details of up coming games will be given to players on Monday. Bus routes and times for Monday as follows

Vhi GAA Cul camps 2009

Our Vhi GAA cul camps conclude this week with camps in Leitrim, Drumkeerin & Fenagh. A special thanks to all the children, approx. 900, who took part in this years camps, their parents and to the club officers who helped out at all the venues, to John Connolly & Willie Donellon from the Leitrim Observer, James Molloy and Therese Foy and this years Vhi GAA cul camp ambassador Dermot Reynolds who visited every camp and did a great job. Finally to all our coaches and camp supervisors who ensured our camps ran smoothly, rain and all, Thank you everyone.

Under 14 School of excellence

Our under 14 School of excellence will take a break next weekend and will resume on Saturday 25th July. Full details in next weeks news.

Under 15 School of excellence

The under 15 school of excellence will play Cavan on Saturday next July 18th in St. Marys GAA grounds Ck – on – Shannon commencing at 12 o clock. Bus routes and times as per under 16 squad.

Under 16 Development squad

The under 16 development squad will continue preparations for up coming Ted Webb blitz with a game against Cavan on Saturday next July 18th in Pairc Sean commencing at 12 o clock. Bus routes and times as follows.

Vhi GAA Cul camps 2009

Fenagh Vhi GAA cul camp

Parents and children who have registered or are planning to attend the Fenagh camp, please note that this camp will now take place in Sean O Heslins GAA grounds Ballinamore. The change of venue is due to onÓgoing works on the pitch in Fenagh.

Registration

Places are still available on all our remaining camps and registration can be by application form or by means of the new on line system.

This new system can be accessed from the GAA website, www.gaa.ie or from the Leitrim GAA website simply by clicking on the VHI logo. To date the site is proving very popular with many parents opting for this method of registration. If however parents do not wish to use the new online system they can still fill out the paper application form and forward it direct to Thomas Keenan, Pairc Sean, Ck-on-Shannon. Which ever way you decide to book, can you please do so as early as possible as this will assist greatly with camp organisation.

Camps taking place over the next two weeks are as follows.

 

20/07/09 – Aughavas, Dromahair, Gortletteragh.

Under 14 School of excellence

Our under 14 School of excellence will continue on Saturday next, July4th with the session taking place in Ballinaglera GAA grounds, commencing at 10.30am. All clubs are asked to make sure their players are present for this session. Only players born in 1995 are eligible.

The next session for our under 15 school of excellence will be on Saturday July 18th. Players are asked to check next weeks notes for more info.

Under 16 Development squad.

All members of the under 16 development squad should note that the meetings with Oliver Cummings, postponed last weekend, will take place this Friday evening and Saturday morning. All Players are asked to please attend at the same times they were allotted for last weekend.
