Connacht U16 Development squad

Congrats and well done to our five representatives on the Connacht U16 provincial development squad, who played Ulster on Friday August 13th in Enniskillen. The squad were split into two teams with Brendan Flynn (St.Marys) goalkeeper, Robert Broughton (Glenfarne) full back and Donal Wrynn (Fenagh St.Cailins) midfield on one of the teams while Felim McHugh played at midfield on the other team. Devin Quinn was unable to take his place at half back due to injury. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the players for their attendance and cooperation at training sessions and to their parents who transported them to training sessions in Castlebar, Ballyhaunis and Tuam since the start of the year and to the games in Enniskillen. The session planned for Saturday last could not take place due to the very poor turnout on the morning. For a generation proficient in the art of text, communication would have been much appreciated. To the lads who made the effort to turn up in Leitrim we apologise. As a result, the U-17 development squad has been postponed till September.
