Connacht Gold Senior Championship – We face Aughnasheelin in the Relegation Semi Final on Saturday 22nd in Drumshanbo at 4pm. It will take a big effort to maintain senior status for next year so please come out and support the lads.

Westlink Coaches U15 Championship – We are away to St Brigid’s on Friday 21st at 6.30pm. The boys will be looking to get a win on the board after defeats to Glencar/Manor and Mohill last week.

Culture – If you are interested in Irish culture and language please come to information session @ 7:30 in The Depot, Back Line Dromahair next Friday September 21 (Culture night)! Blitz – Thank you to St Joseph’s who hosted our U11 boys for a blitz in Carrigallen last Saturday morning. It was a very competitive game with some great point taking and superb team play. Our U9 boys travel to Drumshanbo to play Allen Gaels next Saturday 22nd September at 2pm. Please remember to wear gumshields.

Well Done – Big congratulations to all who received their Junior Cert results last week particularly to our own players.

Connacht Gold Senior Championship – We finished the group with a heavy defeat to Aughawillan on Saturday evening in Drumshanbo. This now means that we face a relegation semi-final against Aughnasheelin in 2 weeks time with time and venue TBC.
Westlink Coaches U15 Championship – A busy week for our U15s as we face Glencar/Manor away on Tuesday 11th and also Mohill at home on Friday 14th with both matches at 6.30pm. The lads will be looking to put the disappointment of an opening day defeat vs Allen Gaels last week behind them.
Cúrsaí Gaeilge – Now that the evenings are closing in maybe you’d like to spend a few pleasant hours over the next few weeks using the cúpla focal you have somewhere in your head. It is proposed to run a few sessions directed at Leaving Cert students to help them gain confidence before the Scrúdú Cainte next Spring. In parallel, there will be a series of get-togethers covering all aspects of Irish culture using the cúpla focal. More details next week.

Barna Recycling U13 Championship – Unfortunately our boys were heavily defeated in the Shield Final vs Glencar/Manor on Friday. It is encouraging to see big numbers turning out to play and we are sure better days won’t be far away for this group.

 

Connacht Gold Senior Championship – Our final group fixture takes place on Saturday at 5pm in Drumshanbo where we will face Aughawillan. Please support if you can.

Guess The Score – The winner of the €100 prize was Stephen Gilgunn who correctly predicted the score in the All Ireland Football Final. Thank you to all who bought lines and supported this fundraiser.

 

Blitz – Thank you to Shamrock Gaels for hosting us for a U9 blitz last Saturday morning and as always we thank parents for travelling with their boys.

Newtowngore Engineering U17 Championship – Our lads were narrowly defeated on Sunday evening vs Mohill on a score of 2-10 to 3-09 in the Shield Final. We would like to say a big thank you to Martina and staff at the Blue Devon for sponsoring food and refreshments for players, coaches and supporters after the much. It is very much appreciated.

 

Barna Recycling U13 Championship – The boys finished the group with a good 6-03 to 2-13 win over St Joseph’s on a wet evening in The Park last Thursday.

 

Guess The Score – We are running a Guess The Score competition for the All Ireland Football Final. The cards are in circulation via players, club officials and local businesses. It is €2 per guess and we would appreciate your support with this fundraiser.

 

Club Member’s Draw – July results – €300 Crissie Meehan, €200 Fergus Meehan, €150 Dalton Power, €100 Martina Devaney. The draw also took place for All Ireland Final tickets and the two names out of the hat were Jonathan McMorrow and John Glynnmartin. Congrats to all.

Pyramid Bookmakers Junior B Championship – We went down on a score of 1-06 to 2-09 against Bornacoola in Rd 2 of the championship on Saturday evening in Drumshanbo. Hard luck to the lads who now bow out of the competition.

Barna Recycling U13 Championship – We suffered defeat away to Leitrim Gaels last week. Our final fixture in the group is at home to St Joseph’s on Thursday 23rd at 7.30pm in The Park. Good luck to the boys who will hopefully finish the competition with a win.

Dunnes Bar Division 2 – The lads played out a tough draw away to Annaduff with a final score of 0-10 each. We believe this now means that we face a play-off with Allen Gaels to decide who joins Annaduff in getting promoted to Division 1. We thank our supporters who travelled in numbers to cheer on the lads.
Connacht Gold Senior Championship Group 1 – We start our campaign against Drumreilly next Sunday 29th July in Drumshanbo at 1.30pm. Please support.
Newtowngore Engineering U17 Championship – We are away to Glencar/Manor on Thursday at 7.30pm. The lads will be hoping for better fortune after being very unlucky in the opening two fixtures. We are also down to play away to Mohill on Monday 30th July at 7pm.
Barna Recycling U13 Championship – Our boys were defeated by a superior St Mary’s team last Thursday. No match this week as we have a bye this round.
Website – We have a new website coming soon. If anyone has any old photos of senior/underage teams from the past we would love to hear from you so that we can share these memories with everyone. Please get in contact with any club officials if you can make a contribution.
Cul Camp – We had a very successful camp last week in Dromahair where we had 180 children taking part. It is great to see the kids turning out in such big numbers and we thank all the coaches and organisers for doing such a good job.
Dunnes Bar Division 2 – We played out a draw against Allen Gaels in The Park last Wednesday with the final score 1-08 to 0-11. We also had a good 3-18 to 0-08 point win away to Drumreilly on Saturday last. This means we go into the last league game away to Annaduff this Saturday at 7pm knowing that a win will guarantee promotion. This is a massive game and we need a big support behind us so please come out to the game if you can and get behind the lads.
Barna Recycling U13 Championship – Our boys were defeated in their first championship outing vs Annaduff last Thursday. Both our U13 teams are in action vs St Mary’s in The Park this Thursday with the games taking place at 7pm and 8.15pm.
Newtowngore Engineering U17 Championship – The lads were very unfortunate in defeat against Rinn Gaels on a scoreline of 4-10 to 5-09 in The Park on Monday. We will be hoping for better luck in the next match away to Glencar/Manor on Monday 23rd July.

Cross Border League – Our U12 boys were narrowly defeated by 4-10 to 4-07 against St Patricks Og in Ardagh in the Shield Semi Final on Tuesday last.
