Intermediate Championship: the first group game is upon us, we play against Cloone on Saturday at 7pm
in Drumshambo. Last time we met them was only last year in the quarter finals, a very tight game which we won late. The game is set to be a great opener, come out and support the team in their opener.

Division One: We had our final league game away vs Mohill last Saturday. It was a tough game, both teams trading points in a physical match. We trailed by two points at half time and pressing late on in the game challenged a strong Mohill outfit down til the dying minutes. The full time score was Drumkeerin 1-10 (13) to Mohill 0-16. The last game of the league is a home game and will be played against Glencar/Manorhamilton after the Championship has been finished.

Junior Championship: Our junior men’s championship starts the afternoon after our intermediate opener. The lads will be playing against Gortletteragh in Ballinamore at 1.30pm Sunday, July 29th. After some good performances with the junior league team to finish near the top of the table, the championship team will be hoping to emulate those performances. Come out to support and cheer the lads on

Ladies Intermediate Championship: Hard luck to the ladies last weekend on their defeat to a very good Bornacoola/St Marys last Sunday. We wish Bridget Gallagher a speedy recovery after getting injured in the match. The girls have two matches left in the campaign against Mohill and St Francis, updates of the fixtures will be posted through our social media pages.

U17 Boys Championship: our U17 lads played Ballinamore on Monday evening, it was a tight match full of action. Ballinamore won by 0-18 to 1-10. The lads are out against Fenagh next Monday at 7.30pm in Drumkeerin. Come out and support these young men, they’ve won two of three of their championship matches so far and are going strong.

U13 Boys Championship: well done to our young U13 team who beat Melvin Gaels 6-07 (25) to 1-04 (7) down on the pitch. That’s two wins from two and they sit at the top of the table with their next game against St Brigids on Thursday, 26th July, at 7:30pm. Venue to be decided but it will be posted on our social media pages.

Dunnes Bar Division One – our men’s team had a great win against Melvin Gaels last Saturday evening down at the pitch. They won 1-09 to 1-07 in a tight affair. They were down by a goal at half time but rallied to get two important points. They’ll play Mohill away on Saturday, 21st July, at 7pm. Come out and support the lads in the last league game before championship starts the following week.

Ladies Intermediate Championship – Well done to our ladies on a fantastic display in their first championship result, great crowd too. Drumkeerin 5-9 (24) to Fenagh 4-12 (24). They’re out again to play Bornacoola/St Marys on this Sunday, July 22nd, at 12 midday in Ballinaglera.

Newtowngore Engineering U17 – well done to our U17 team and management on another win in Division One. They played on Monday evening to win 2-10 to 2-07 against a good Allen Gaels team. They play away to a strong Ballinamore SOH team on Monday next week, 23rd July, at 7:30pm. The lads have been tough to beat all year so it’s guaranteed to be a great spectacle
Also a special note of thanks to Jason Leonard, in the new shop in Drumkeerin, who sponsored the food for the lads after their league final a few weeks back.

Barna Recycling Under 13-  The lads had a great win last Thursday winning away from home by 8-07 (31) to 5-10 (25). They beat Kiltubrid in a great high scoring affair. They’re out against Melvin Gaels this Thursday, 19th July, at 7:30pm
Dunnes Bar Division One – We play Fenagh away on Wednesday, 11th July, at 8pm. It will be a good indicator of what to expect in the championship later this year. They’ll also be out on Saturday at home Vs Melvin Gaels at 7pm. These are two of the last few games we have this year in the league before the championship starts and all support is greatly appreciated to rally behind the lads.

Newtowngore Engineering U17 championship – well done to the lads who started their championship campaign on Monday evening, it was a successful start at home to St Joseph’s. Full-time score was Drumkeerin 3:08 (17) to St Joseph’s 1:08 (11). Next up they play against Allen Gaels this upcoming Monday, 16th, at home again and throw in is at 7pm. Keep it lit lads

Ladies championship – The first round of the championship is on Sunday against Fenagh at 12, midday and the venue is to be decided. Best of luck to all involved and keep an eye on our social media where we will update you of the venue and full details. Also, we want to wish Aisling and Farrahh Fee safe travels volunteering in Ecuador, a very noble cause.

Barna Recycling U13 championship – our U13 boys start their championship campaign this Thursday away to Kiltubrid at 7pm. Come out and support them, best of luck to all involved.

Lotto results – GAA lotto results from 16th June, there was no jackpot winner of €3550. The numbers drawn were 4, 19, 24, 26. Men’s Football – There are no games this upcoming weekend for the men’s teams. Our first team were scheduled to play Glencar-Manorhamilton in a round of football for all clubs to play without their county players, but the full round of fixtures have been rescheduled to play with their county players at a later date.

Division 3 Men – Our Junior team played away to, league leaders, Eslin on Sunday. They suffered a hard defeat 6-15 to 3-09. A high scoring game that was very entertaining. The result also guarantees Eslin a league final and leaves our Junior team unlikely to finish second to play them again in a final. Their final home game is currently fixed for the weekend of the 23rd of June but there will be full confirmation next week and on our social media pages in the days coming up to it.

Lotto – This week’s Lotto numbers drawn were 8, 15, 19, 21. There was no jackpot winner of €3500. The five €20 winners were Finian Redican, Margaret Patrick & Thomas McPartlan, Shane McGuire, Rita Feeney, Paddy McPadden. Thank you for your continued support.

U12 Girls – Our young ladies are out vs Bornacoola this Wednesday, 13th of June, at 7:30pm in Dromod. Come out and support our future and best of luck to all involved.

Annual Lotto – The Annual Lotto sellers are finished now. Thank you to everyone for their continued support, it all helps to fund the club.

Exam season – Well done so far, and best of luck, to all Leaving Cert and Junior Cert students with their remaining exams.

Division 1  – Our senior men’s team played Saturday against Ballinaglera on Saturday evening. Final score was 1-08 to 1-08. After a slow start the lads were 1-05 to 0-02 down after about 20 minutes and were also down to 14 men. Just before half time the score was 1-05 to 1-03 after an important goal from James Gallagher (Creevelea). In tough conditions and with one man less for so long the team managed to level it and create some chances to win it. Even in the extremely wet conditions there was great support that helped lift the team, the team are unbeaten this year at home after three games. The teams will meet again in the Championship in late August. The league has another break now until the 30th of June when the team will be away to Mohill.

Division 3 – This Sunday, June the 10th, 12pm the team will be away to Eslin. It’s their third last game of the year and should be a good game. Best of luck to all involved and making the trip up.

U14 girls – Well done to our U14 girls who won their shield final, last Thursday evening, beating Mohill by a score of 9:09(36) to 2:10(16). They were a point down at half time but rallied on to victory. Well done all girls and their mentors David, PJ and Michelle.

Ladies Table Quiz – Drumkeerin Ladies had a table quiz last Friday in Davitts Bar. It was a great night with 14 tables supporting the event, thank you for the support. Thanks to Davitts for the use of their bar and to MC Gabriel Flynn who did a great job on the night.

Ladies Intermediate Championship – The ladies championship will start on the 15th of July when they will play Fenagh first.

The other teams in the intermediate championship are Mohill, Bornacoola/St Marys and St Francis and they will play them in that order.

Cumann na mBunscoil – well done to the teams and managers on getting to their shield finals that took place last week in Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada. Drumkeeran NS, Tarmon NS and St Hughs Dowra NS all turned out very well.

Division 1 –  Our next game will be this weekend, Saturday at 7pm, at home against Ballinaglera. Looking forward to great support as always. Best of luck to all involved.

Division 3 –  Well done to our Junior team on their win over Allen Gaels this afternoon. Leading 0-07 to 0-05 at half time thanks to some great saves from our veteran, Conor Woods, between the sticks. The lads kept the scoreboard ticking over in the second half to secure another two points. They’re now sitting third in the division with three games left to play. Final score Drumkeerin 0-13 Allen Gaels 0-10. Their next game will be away to Eslin’s first team who are sitting at the top of the division, it’s set to take place on the weekend of the 9th of June.

Ladies Table Quiz – Drumkeerin Ladies are holding a table quiz this Friday, the 1st of June, in Davitts Bar starting at 9pm. Raffle on the night also, please support.

Ladies Fitness Class –  it’s the last of the Ladies 6 week fitness class before the summer. Starting Thursday at 8.30pm in ball alley.

Dunnes Bar Division 1 – We had our first win of the year against Aughawillan. A great performance from that lads, the final score was Drumkeerin 0-13 to Aughawillan 0-09. That’s a win and a draw in our two home games this year. Our next game will be the first weekend in June, at home to Ballinaglera.
Swan Bar Division 3 – The Junior team are out on Sunday, 27th May, to play against Allen Gaels. The game is on in Drumkeerin at 12pm. The team is going well this year, come out and support the lads.
Ladies – unlucky to the Ladies who lost to Mohill on Sunday afternoon. The club wishes speedy recoveries to Aimee, Shannon and Ellen who were injured during the game.

U17 Men –  Congratulations to our U17 mens team who won their league on the weekend, beating Annaduff. Final score was 5-6 (21) to 0-1 (1), Annaduff scored the first point but our boys were solid all over the pitch and once they started scoring they were hard to stop. Drumkeerin GAA would like to thank the great support the lads got over the weekend, they put on a fine show for us. We’d also like to wish the Annaduff players the best in the future and a speedy recovery to their midfielder who got injured during the game.
Senior Men – Our Senior mens team, Division 1, played Ballinamore at home this weekend. The first home outing for the lads this year they battled hard and were leading by two points at half time but the game ended in a draw when Ballinamore leveled it in injury time. Final score Drumkeerin 1-7 (10) to Ballinamore 0-10 (10). Thanks for the great support at the game, there’s a few weeks off for our first team now with a break until the second week in May.
Junior Men –  this Saturday at 7pm our Junior team, Division 3, play against Carrigallen away. Currently the two teams sit first and second in the table. Guaranteed to be a good game from the start, best of luck to all involved.
Championship Draws – the championship draws took play on Monday evening. Our Intermediates have been drawn against Leitrim Gaels, Fenagh, Cloone, Aughavas and Ballinaglera. The Juniors take on Glenfarne/Kilty, Gortletteragh and Carrigallen.
