Reconstruction of Drumkeerin GAA Club terraces – Expressions of interests are being sought for the tender of the reconstruction of the terraces at Naomh Bríd GAA grounds in Drumkeerin. All tender documentation is available at Francis Davitt Planning, Main Street, Drumkeerin. Close of applications will be at 4pm sharp on Friday the 25th of January 2019.
Registration – After mass on Sunday the 27th in the ball alley. The fees are €60 for family, €40 adult and €30 student.
Under 9 Academy – We need people this year to support the running and coaching of the children. Message PJ Ryan if you can give one hour a week, there are football skills training courses provided by the club. For the academy to continue it needs people to volunteer their time, 1 hour per week, message PJ if you can support the children and club. PJ 0863149384
Club AGM – the AGM took place last Saturday, 8th December, in the local community centre. It was a good reflection of the club to see a strong attendance out for it and representation from the teams. Senior Team Management – we would like to congratulate and wish the best of luck to Francis Davitt, the new Drumkeerin Men’s manager. He was appointed last weekend, there was competition for the position which is brilliant to see within the club. We wish Francis the best of luck in his role for the upcoming year.
Girls U16 Final – our girls played their U16 final last Sunday afternoon in Glencar against local rivals Dromahair. A hard fought game that our girls came out on top in. Well done to all the players and management, you did the club proud on our final outing of the year. Drumkeerin abu
Many Thanks – Liam Gilmartin and Joe Tiffoney have left their role as senior team managers. We would like to thank them for their efforts and commitment to the team for the past year and good luck to them and their families in the future.
Division One – The last game of the league is a home game and will be played against Glencar/Manorhamilton this Saturday, 27th October, at 4pm. It’ll be played at home down at the pitch in Drumkeerin. It’s the final outing for the team all year and is very important that the lads win to ensure that they avoid relegation from Division One. All support for a big game against a north Leitrim rival will be needed to cheer on the men’s team one last time this year.
U15 Championship – good luck to our U15 boys in their championship shield semi-final against Kiltubrid this Saturday, 27th October, at 12pm in Kiltubrid. Come out to cheer the lads on, best of luck to all involved.
Underage Presentation Night – To acknowledge the achievements of our club’s young players, in the Community Centre on Saturday 3rd of November at 7pm. David Clarke, Mayo goalkeeper and 2-time All-Star, will be there on the night to present the awards.
Race Night – Drumkeerin GAA Race Night Fundraiser, It’s that time of year again when the Drumkeeran GAA club goes to the races! The Annual Race Night will take place in Wynne’s Bar, Drumkeeran on Sunday, October 28th from 9pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated as this event is vital to our fundraising efforts to continue the development of the club into the future. Ladies – We are having a ladies meeting on Friday, 19th of October, at 8pm in the handball alley for everyone interested in playing Ladies Senior For next year and to discuss plans for the upcoming season.
