Schoolboys Win – Well done to our Schoolboys who won their final last Saturday against Kilnagross. It was exciting stuff, half time we were ahead 4-04 to 2-02 but Kilnagross cut our lead down to two points with two well-taken goals in the first minute of the second half. Our lads dug deep and put in some outstanding performances and came away with a win on a score line 7-09 to 5-05. Well done lads and coaches.

Westlink Coaches U15 – Our U15s travelled to Ballinamore last Thursday evening to take on Sean McDiarmuid Gaels which is an amalgamation of Kilturbrid and Ballinamore. We hit the ground running from the start. We never gave them an inch anywhere on the field. Half time score was Gort 13  Mc Diarmuid Gaels 03.  We continued the second half in the same style. Final score was Gort 3-17 MC Diarmuid Gaels 1-05. It’s a credit to the coaches and players to play such a nice style of football. Keep up the good work lads. Next up is Mohill on Monday at home (gone by at the time of reading this) and Manorhamilton away tomorrow (Thursday) evening.

County Juniors – Best of luck to Seamus Quinn and Sean Hynes who are part of the County junior management who take on Mayo in the Connacht Junior Football Semi Final on Saturday evening, the curtain raiser to Mayo v Roscommon.

Weekend Fixtures – Division 1 resumes on Sunday and we are away to Glencar Manor.

Doors at 7 with the band onstage at 8 for what will be an unmissable night of music and song. Tickets cost €20 and can be obtained from any club officer. See our Facebook page for more details.
Weekend Results – The juniors had a one-point win over Leitrim Gaels at the weekend, picking up their second win of the campaign. Well done to the lads and management.

U15 – Our U15s were in action against St Joseph’s last Thursday evening in Carrigallen. The conditions for football were very poor to say the least with a rain-drenched pitch. We took a four-point lead early on but st Joseph’s hit back with a goal and half time the score was St Joseph’s 1-01 Gort 08. The second half was a stop-start affair with very little chance for either team to play to their strengths. The final score was Gortletteragh 14 points to st Joseph’s 1-06. Next up at home is St Bridget’s this Thursday evening.

Weekend Fixtures – No Fixtures down for this weekend as the Juniors have a bye and the county team prepare for the Roscommon game.
